my eyeball guess (I did not count exactly) is about 300, $1200?

I did add some after I took the picture, but you were really close.

I think it is skewed a bit as there are some older runs of coax and those are heavier than the newer stuff. I like heavier!

Ok, this one has me puzzled. I see a winch, so thats nice. And then hydraulics, cool. BUT then we go to the back and it has a "bumper" hanging down, so it can't really be a full tilt. So what are the hydraulics for? And why does it have bars/mounts for ramps, but no ramps are seen? Looks like its in pretty decent shape though, so thats good.

Im scratching my head on this one Strouty.

XJ think of how steep that deck would be if it were able to touch the ground. It would be pretty tough to load anything on it, even with the winch.

It's a 17 year old used trailer, sometimes ramps go missing or become uselessly damaged. If the price is right you look past things like that and make your own if needed.

I've seen all kinds of tilt trailers, yes, they can be steep, but I haven't seen any with ramps AND tilt. From a 4x6 utility to 48' loadalls, tilt can work and be great. What I was trying to get at is that it has looks like there are conflicting designs/functions. Strouty will clarify I hope.

You'd love the ramp truck my neighbors had when I was a kid. The front of the bed would be 15' off the ground when tilted up. The platform wasn't more than 22' long. And they backed old tractors up and down it to load them. In the rain it was downright scary. They moved the bed to another truck later but they still have it and use it.

I think the trailers missing the ramps. at least not showing.

The bed tilts, in the first side picture just in front of the box, the trailer deck is split. back half tilts, front half stays put.

just guessing.

Looks like a nice trailer for being 17 years old. With working brakes, now?

How come the underside isn't painted red like all the other trailers you have been looking at? Isn't having a red underside a state law?;)

Good looking trailer otherwise.

NICE!

Money in hand vs a scrap pile to store and look at is always a better deal. Plus no worries someone will come by and take it in the night (leaving a mess to deal with).

I missed saying it earlier, that tool you have to cut the cable so cleanly, sure did a great job. Worth every penny on this job. That's how profit is made!

The previous owner removed the ramp portion of the tail because it was too steep, he used it to move scissor lifts and forklifts (hmm, I move forklifts, coincidence? I think not!). There are ramps that stow under the rear section of the trailer and they are there. The trailer is hydraulic powered tilt, gravity down, then it has a winch that can be used on either section of the trailer. It is very clean, has a few places that need to be cleaned up on the suspension, but for being parked since 2016, I think it looks great. It has two 10k pound Dexter oil bath axles, but it is electric brake. I need to install a brake controller in Perk as well as a new setup to run the lights, they are a different plug and the way they work is also different, so I need a converter box to make things work. Should be a nice trailer, it will fit two burbs, but I don’t think it will tilt once one is on. :(

The tool is a PVC cutter made by Milwaukee, it will make hundreds of cuts on one battery. I have two, but it is hard to use both at once. ;)

Ah ha, so it does do both ramps and tilt. Very interesting. And they detach...hmm. :Freak:

We will see how it works, might be a PITA, or might be really nice. I could probably make some short ramps for loading things like Burbs and tractors, then use the longer ramps only when needed, I also may just go back to the original design, but I need to try it out first.

I think that trailer might be able to go "gooseneck" and work with the f 550 if you ever had the need. That hitch, it looks like will the kingpin might drop out and you can slide in a 2 5/16 GN ball reciever. Versatility is good.

It is a gooseneck and they added the adapter, 550 is out due to the crane, there would be some clearance issues at least for a little while. ;)

Got the propane tank unloaded, need to load Clark, have some stuff to move at the SG and it really is the only thing that will work. Also going to bring Clark to tower to help with dismantling and moving steel. I will feel naked without any off-road forklift at the Hill. At least the track crane can do some things.

I found a monster wood chipper for cheap money, if my Brother doesn’t buy it, I may. It has a grapple to load itself, Cummins 5.9 engine with issues. I am pretty sure it is a whole tree chipper, well, up to a certain size. Seller is going to call me, not sure I should mess with this one, but, I think it could be a decent investment. They sell for $20k plus and this one is $7500.

As I recall, the old timers talk about using a john deere tractor engine for just about any type of farm equipment they needed to power/build.

Can you use a 'Burb for this one?

Family farm story, they had a Desoto powered saw mill. Amazingly, no one lost any "limbs" while using it... I truly wish they had a picture of that one.

I guess I do have two, but one is for another project. ;)

This morning I need to make up an adapter for the 7 way RV style trailer plug, I have my temporary magnetic lights, but I don’t think they will work very well on the camper. Hopefully all the lights work, as I have no idea what I would need for bulbs. There is a tractor supply about half an hour away from where I am picking it up, that would be my worst case situation.

I do need to setup that feature, it was on my way and I needed to get some cash out anyways, wish my phone could dispense cash, that would be really nice!

The IHI isn’t mine, it is Dad’s, but stays at the Hill, I keep trying to buy it from him, hopefully I can get it someday. ;)

Testing the new wiring harness now, hope everything works.

My adapter to adapter works, eventually I will set something permanent up, but this morning, I am already running late.

Trailer has all but one clearance light working. Towed nicely, going to mess with it quickly before I head out to get the camper.

I can see that what the previous owner did to modify the trailer was actually a pretty good idea. I am probably going to remake the ramps out of aluminum and I may cut the tilting bed down a bit, if I do that, I can fit two burbs, that would make me happy.

Once I rework the bumper, it will look a lot better, I will be installing the new grill and stainless surround. I just need to do some more important bits before I do the fancy bits. ;)

Strouty, It would be nice if you made us up an cue card that tells us which rig is Perk or Bev. I remember that Bev is an old Beverage truck. but a list would be nice. Richy

I think I said I would do that at one point, guess I really need to.

Camper is back, hauled nice, no heat on the wheel bearings, pulled straight. At some point I will get the brake system hooked up in Perk and then I can see if the brakes work.

So we were getting the Mohawk lift out of the moving van trailer, I had to open both sides of the rear door, I was expecting the left side to open hard, nope it went easy.......

Then I see something out of the corner of my eye, then I am on the ground holding my head and spitting pieces of my front tooth out. There was a 7’ long 6 by 10 laminated beam and it had been leaning against the door, luckily no blood, but damn did it hurt. I took some Advil and had a big ice pack, it is probably going to hurt tomorrow.

ouch. that really *****.

Just checking, no dizziness? no puking? no disorientation? no light sensitive etc? None of the signs of a concussion?
