I got the tail cut off, got the trailer situated so the rear deck was locked in (broke a hydraulic fitting in the process), finally got the brakes freed up, took some pounding and dragging, then more pounding. Then I decided to bring the tilt deck electric brake trailer up, it has frozen brakes too. At one point they seemed free, but by the time I got to the top of the Hill, it was obvious that at least one set had been dragging on one side. Couldn’t tell in the dark, luckily it isn’t a heavy trailer, so hopefully I didn’t make a mess of the road.
I am trying to free things up now, not having much luck, probably wait until next year.

Looking at parts for the axles and it is ridiculously expensive to change the brakes, especially if it needs drums, it looks like it would be cheaper to buy an entire new axle than to buy the drums and brake kit, this makes no sense at all.
