Thanks Kev, this tire machine seems like it could be a money maker. Guy wants $1,900, it is a 2013 and a replacement unit is $25k. Ebay shows a few listed, one sold in March for $10k. I know this one needs some tinkering, but it functions, I am bringing a tire/wheel to test it out as well. Who knows it may be nice enough that I keep it for myself, but I have a feeling it is going to be a bit on the large side for my needs.

I guess it works on up to 34" rims, (never knew that was a thing), but with adapters it will do 19.5 and 17.5 trailer tires, not sure if it will do 22.5 truck tires, but that would be pretty cool, says it will do 19" wide rims.

Well people are just A$$hats, I set a time to meet the guy with the tire machine (he picked the time) and then when I leave, he tells me it is sold. I hate people. :(

That's pretty crappy,
I always tell some one that some one else is looking at it and if it gets sold I will call them. (It's happened)
I also get a contact phone from a seller just in case I can't make it.

I think It's a case of somebody waved cash in his face and he sold it. Had it happen to me made arrangements to go out of state to pick up a drill press on the weekend. Friday the seller called me, and told me they sold it. At least they called, but I still wasn't happy.

Buddy of mine has a nice Coats in Machias for 3 grand. My guess is he would come down some. Its a 7 grand machine new. Probably won't do what that one would do though. Mostly cars and light trucks?

This one was very unique and probably one of those once in a lifetime finds. Just ***** that the guy told me “X” time, then sold it before that. I guess next time I should have driven there and waited.

Stroughty always a game of craps, maybe he figured out it was underpriced and decided to relist it later with a new username, see that from time to time. My brother sold [2019] an engine Dad had from the early fifties for about $100, well we see it on FB MarketPlace yesterday for $500 with a broken distributor cap now. Appears to have changed hands a couple of times. That means it will likely never run again, 1948 Austin A10 Distributor Cap, Good Luck with that.
Those tires sizes listed [34" Dia. X 19" wide] sounds like a good AG/Construction tire machine as well as many trucks.Too Bad, that didn't work out for you! Harry

Wow your cleaning up of the place looks great! Sorry to hear about the jacka$$ screwing you out of the tire machine! Anymore I buy most of my stuff off of online auctions. I hate screwing with people who only give a damn about $$$$$$$$

Thanks 1G, was a bit of a battle, I have a cold, so I am a bit rundown. Feeling ten times better now, but I am still stuffed up a bit.

Yesterday my Dad leaned into me about the camp summer rental, this job was dropped in my lap last fall, so I have yet to get any summer pictures, no decisions on outdoor furniture have been made, there is no grill, there is no picnic table, there are only three beds in the place, so technically it can sleep one couple and two people or three adults. The current winter tenant will be out at the end of May, then there is one group that has asked to rent it for one of our "weeks", this consists of ten days from Friday at noon until Monday at noon after the second weekend. We were supposed to get a premium for this, but without any pictures of the outside during warm weather, I am not sure how this will go. I can't answer any questions about the outside, because we haven't established the outside setup yet. I want to add bunk beds in one room and a sleeper sofa in the living room. There is no real setup for an outdoor fire place yet. Basically it is a clusterfack and because my stepmother wants it to be, my Dad wants me to do it just to keep the peace. I tried to explain to him that it will turn into a full time job to do this, yet he thinks it is part of my duties to just do it. So I am going to list it without any outdoor pictures from summertime and only be able to answer some questions for sure. Sounds like a great way to try and bring in happy vacation customers for sure. ;)

managing sales like this is one of the reasons i don't do it much. I sold my big snowblower over the last big snowstorm. I priced it a little low for quick sale, got a guy who immediately contacted me, told me interested but never committed to a time to show up, meanwhile a 2nd guy called me and wanted to come immediately. made a time to come, brought cash, etc. then original guy comes back out of the woodwork and tried to strongarm me about being first, and i said you didn't really commit to a time, so i'm the one in the bind. Guess that's why most ads now state FCFS/No Holds.

After a phone conversation with the stepmother, I thought we had a direction, then Dad had lunch with her a d called me afterwards saying that we are NOT having any bunk beds and we are not having a fold out sofa. Basically that limits the camp to a couple and two kids or three adults. Definitely not the way to make money, but whatever. I was hoping to pay for the two camps tax bills with this one, not sure that will happen.

So he wants to own the method and make you responsible for the result? That can't work.

If he owns the method, he has to own the result.

If you have to own the result, then you have to have the freedom to get there in a manner of your own choosing.

Ha, I see someone is new to the thread...

This would make sense and therefore is not allowed.

The first time I try and show him the notebook would be the last time he would initial it. I just roll with it, I have been trained to take the heat now.

Everyone says the same thing, but I can’t do it, partly because it is my Dad and partly because it would look like I have up and he would “win”. Things have been going better, but we run into snags frequently, I just have to wait until he forgets that it was “important” to him, he moves on to the next “important” thing.

The second contractor came up today to look at the Hill, he is going to build new stairs and enclose them so come winter time they won't be as treacherous. He wants to start next week, so now I really have to move a ton of stuff to get the space ready for him. :(

Too bad you're so far away, I have several huge holes I need filled with rubble to make a bed for parking and driveway expansion.

Sorry to hear about your mother in laws ideas. Seems like everything starts going good, and then you can expect something is going to happen out of nowhere, like a soap opra or something!

Today I got a bunch of things done, still have a bunch more to do, but the majority of the trucks and trailers have been shuffled so there is actually some room up top again. The F-550 is going away for good this evening, this means that Bev will be coming out of retirement for a bit (or longer). Lots of things to do, will have to post pictures later.
