That is why I feel almost stupid complaining about it. To anyone that didn’t use tapatalk, well, the new format is way better than the old and I agree with that. I just have to learn to deal with the images.
I have also been reviewing I fo on drones and it appears that I will need to get a commercial license and actually register flight plans with the FAA. It is a confusing mess for sure but lots of people that have posted videos are getting letters from the FAA telling them they will have to stop flying their drones and get the license or be fined up to $100k, apparently the FAA has people actively searching YouTube and websites for drone videos. Just one more thing I need to deal with.
May least I have done enough research to know that I can fly higher than 400’, the rule allows for flying 400’ above any structure, as long as you are within a 400’ radius of that structure. This is great to know, because a lot of the towers I deal with are over 400’ tall. Biggest issue is that I am semi near a major airport and there are flight paths that create airspace limits even with those rules. This is why you would have to file a flight plan, to make sure you are okay to fly in that area. Also once you get the commercial license, you can fly in the dark, you can fly above people, and you can fly in rougher weather. All in all it will be worth doing as the rules are probably just going to get tougher and tougher, especially when I intend to get better drones eventually.
