Last night was rough, I feel better this morning, but dehydrated, so I am working on that now. I have a headache that is this pounding pain and it is exactly under where I got hit with the beam a while back, the bump is still there and it hurts to touch it. Hopefully I am getting closer to the end of this mess, been 11 days, keeping my fingers crossed.

Eating has been pretty bad, I have had some smoothies as everything else makes me feel like I am going to puke. I am drinking plenty of water.

I have to say, the “cough” is more of a convulsion that happens to close my throat off. I actively try not to cough as it feels like my head is going to pop. :(

I am going to take some drugs and try to fall asleep, seems like once I am out, I am fine.

Everybody that i know that went through it took a week or two to feel better. If your pulseox level gets too low, make sure you get some help.

I'm not sure that it's the best idea to wait........

One thing that have been observing is that if a person is knocked down too hard and waits too long for treatment, is that it is difficult to recover from. Especially if the pneumonia sets in. That seems to be one of the bigger risks.

If you haven't already reached out to your doc, I think that would be a good step. Let them help guide your next steps.....

I'm not a doc, but these are my observations. We're pulling for you Strouty!!!

I am hopeful that this evening will be better, I have been pumping fluids and have been eating more consistently. I also got some Vicks and it seems to be helping too.

A truck load of VIcks overturned on the interstate this morning. Surprisingly "there was no congestion around the accident" police said. Hope you feel better soon.

Great uncle Lester always said that skunk oil rubbed on your chest cleared up the congestion. Or kerosene if you don't have any skunk oil. You don't smoke do you?

Uncle Lester was an "frugal" old depression era, tough as shoe leather, do it yourself to get it done kind of guy. He and Aunt Pearl lived in a box car out on the farm in Strong City Kansas during the depression. Until the farm house could be build anyway.

There was a YouTube video from a doc that showed how to use a specific downward facing position to encourage better breathing and to help clear gunk out... It was similar to a downward facing yoga pose.

Not sure if this would help or not, but might be worth a try.

Your mileage may vary. Glad to hear you are starting to feel better!
