They charged me $75 for a lift gate because of my address, not sure I will get that back, so fender was $200, shipping was $260. :(

Tuesday or Wednesday we don't gain much until February anyway. But we are headed toward more daylight so thats good. Fender looks good compared to the old one. Shipping certainly isn't getting cheaper.

The further north you live, the more it matters. Today, for example:

Bangor, Maine:
Sunrise: 7:10 AM
Sunset: 3:57 PM
Boca Raton, Florida:
Sunrise: 7:03 AM
Sunset: 5:33 PM
There is a difference between Strouty and me, about 10 minutes or so. I'm sure if you look at Caribou(north of Bangor) its even greater.

It is always something with me, came up today and there is no water in the tanks, not sure how it is getting used so fast, I think the toilet must be running, I know the sink drips, but that was a lot of water to get used up. I guess for now I will shut the toilet off after using it. Luckily it is supposed to be a bit warmer this afternoon, all kinds of trouble can happen if it is too cold when you pump the tanks full.

Tanks are full, toilet is turned off, we think it is running or leaking by the seal. I don’t want to replace it because it is all getting removed and reconfigured in the hopefully near future. This way if we were to run out of water there is an emergency flush supply. I got lucky that I caught it on a warm day, had it been a 10 degree day would be riskier for freezing something up. I drained the water back once the tanks were filled, lots of pressure.

When is Christmas? I may have to take that day off. ;)

Just got back from the SG, had to put Guido inside, plus there was a battery charger on it, didn’t want to ruin that with the freezing rain that will hit us in the AM. I got a lot done today, just nothing I wanted to do.

I will have to be careful on the front steps, freezing rain right now, don’t want to fall again.

Today is probably going to be a mellow day, I have to do some shopping, not Christmas shopping, that is all done, I have to get some supplies for the house at the Hill as well as the Salvage Garage. I haven't been paying attention to things and I am out of drinking water and snacks at both places and having to go and get lunch, becomes expensive and time consuming very quickly.

Last night we got the sander installed in the F-350 and got sand/salt, so I am ready for the ice, the truck is at the bottom of the Hill, that way I can back up the road while sanding, essentially sanding it before I drive on it. The Hill is treacherous in this type of weather unless you have studded snow tires or tire chains.

It is very slick out, the sanders have been out in force, so the roads are not too bad, but my driveway was a bit of a skating rink. I am off to get something done, not sure what, but I am shooting for something......

Skate carefully, it would be fun for a day or so but I just cant handle winter any more.
People can joke about north and south all they want but you have to have som grit to function in that **** and I ain't got it anymore.
It was a bittersweet day when I gave away my last plow truck.

I don’t know if I would miss the snow.

It would take me a while to get used to the heat too, but generally where it is hot, there is no rust and that would make it all worth it. I hate rust a little more than I hate snow.

Right now it is sunny and all the trees are glistening like diamonds, it is very beautiful, but like you said, it will be dangerous as can be in a little bit.

I still have an annoying cough, it isn’t painful, but I am taking cough suppressant and cough drops daily. Don’t want to cause a scene with a coughing fit.

Strouty, I'm afraid you are correct, looking at long range I don't see many days in the 30s. The ground is covered with crusty snow and ice. Working outside is going to **** for awhile.

As long as the ground freezes up and stays that way, I don't care about the temperature. 👍
Plowing that last snow was pretty aggravating with a lot of areas unfrozen.
I bet the drive up to the hill might be interesting this morning. Good move leaving the sander at the bottom.

I backed up slowly with the sander going, it wasn’t bad, a bit nerve wracking backing down to the Quonset hut though.

I confirmed that the water issue was not due to the drip in the sink, this is what dropped out after two days, I can use this to water the plants.
