I have had so many thermostats, I can’t remember if this one had issues or if it was the another one. In the end it was not just the dead batteries in the thermostat, it was the screen filters plugged up a bit as well. Regardless I now have a NEST thermostat setup, but it isn’t hooked up to the internet yet, the WiFi signal isn’t strong enough at that end of the shop, so now I need to get my wireless bridge set back up. One more thing.

The Blue Burb is all torn apart, we kept finding stupid issues and just decided we didn’t trust the previous owner, so we are putting new injectors in as well as the freshly rebuilt injection pump.

I also reworked the vertical pipe support so I could use one of my new shelves, fits nicely, I still need to brace it up, but for now I feel good just having it sitting there.

Yup, two of the three injection pump bolts were almost finger tight.

well I bought a rusty old 2500 with a plow last week..
It may need a bit of weight in the back, it didn't do too well uphill..
the wooden flatbed probably doesn't help

my driveway sucked as much to plow as I always assumed it would. I may stick to the snowblower there.

the road it sucked on is yes though I have graveled and graded it since then, driveway is where the mill is, just no straight shots to push to really,
{got divorced so I have been working up in the woods to build up there this summer}

On the T-stat front, you do seem to have an inordinate amount of issues, including this wrinkle with the WiFi. Do you think you'll have the Blue Burb running today?

Nope, probably won’t touch it today, need some parts, plus I have a few other things to do.

Had to sand my Dad’s place, sander wasn’t working, chased all kinds of loose and lightly corroded connections, still didn’t fix things. Ended up being the motor that runs the conveyor, the magnets had come unglued and it wouldn’t run anymore. Seven hours later I sanded Dad’s driveway, now I want lunch.

Trying to unload the oil tank without having access to the bay *****, had to use garden hose and it slows the process down. I hate not having an outside forklift at the Hill.

Got the oil out of the tank and the tank out of the truck, going to put the sander in tomorrow, my back just can’t take that kind of abuse right now.

So typical Maine weather....... visited when i was young... beautiful summer weather both days....went to Nova Scotia it was cold but both areas were absolutely gorgeous.

Same thing happened here Tuesday night, into Wednesday. We got about 3 hours of rain, then straight to snow for the 20ish hours. We got about 12".

Not real fond of it myself, we don't get much but it almost always comes sideways which it's doing now.

We're on the list to get fuel sometime, they're shutdown today.

Finally built a spacer to go in the F-350 bed, this helps locate the sander. My Brother needed to borrow some jack stands from me, he also dropped off a cart that will be great for over at the Salvage Garage. We loaded the sander in the bed, now I am off to calibrate the new motor so it doesn’t think it is empty all the time, the beeping is annoying. Then I am getting sand/salted and hooking the plow up so I am ready for the storm.

Inches of sleet on ground, still sleeting here. Good luck on the injector change out, turbo side *****. What about glow plugs? Hope you aren't using any cheap china junk, you will regret it if so Do you have a Tech 2 or something to set injection pump?

The stuff coming down is more sleet than snow at this point, it is accumulating.

Walrus, luckily things are all "new" so the turbo unbolted easy enough, I will confirm that the glow plugs are AC deco, if not, they will be changed. I do have a Tech 2, so no worries about setting the timing.

Nice, should run like a new one when you are done. You remote the PMD to front of truck or leave it on injection pump? I think bosch are ok on glow plugs also , The sleet *****, its a back breaker when shoveling. My back is saying no more. I plowed and you need down pressure to scrape that sleet off the gravel

I use a heatsink over by the ABS module, this one has a cooling fan, I also run Flight Systems PMDs, they seem to actually hold up, but I think they are too big to mount on the pump.

Running flight systems on mine also. Gray Standyne **** the bed on me pretty quickly

We got an inch and a half of sleet then about 5-6 inches tall of snow on top. Fun

Lucky you, 3 inches of sleet and then looks to be 6 inches of snow, won't know till I plow again. I'd rather have 15 of inches of snow then that sleet ****. 2 hours of clean up coming up once its daylight

Snow is much preferred over sleet, rain, or hail. Especially if it's in the 20's with no wind. GOod luck digging out today gents.

Man that garden hose is the slooooow way to transfer oil. I've stopped doing that outdoors in the winter. Just doesn't work well.
