Strouty - you couldn't find a third section of roof to route that chimney through?Been getting $hit done today, still moving forward, this weekend is going to be a long hard one for sure. Chimney:

Technically I did go through three sections of roof, the upper part is an entire framed roof over an asphalt shingle roof that had four layers, it was about 20” thick.

I am still working on the bolt in bracing, got the pieces (four of them) cut and fitted, now I have to drill the holes in the pieces then reinstall them, mark the welded in “brackets” and then drill those with a hand drill inside the trailer frame rails. I may not beat the dark, but I feel like I am still making decent progress when I look at the overall picture. Tomorrow will be interesting, I have to figure out what is getting shuffled and what is getting loaded for the auction. I would like to do at least one drop off on Monday, would be nice to have a forklift and some tires go over there, all depends on how long it takes me to get the trailer wrapped up. Then I need to bring Clark back to the SG so I can clean up out back, once that is done, Clark will head back to the Hill probably for the winter and the Cat V80 will end up at the SG.
Slow start this morning, I have some things I have to get done at home before I can head out for the day. Going to feed the Chuck and load up supplies first, I figure it won’t be until mid afternoon before I get to the SG, everything is set up to finish the Muv-All though.

Aren't Sunday's SUPPOSED to be a day of rest? Yeah right, in our dreams. But it is Sunday, so slow starts are ok. That's why I'm just now getting ready to go out to the shop and put a timing chain on the GF's "new" motor. Good luck today, hope things go efficiently.
There never seems to be an efficient use of my time, always seems to get messed up. I can live with it if I can get what I need to done today, even if the trailer isn't loaded. Tomorrow morning is going to be a bit of a nightmare, I have the new contractor showing up around 10 to start (finish) the office project, I have to get pieces and parts before that and in the middle of that, I have a 9 AM appointment, so basically I am going to be late to my own party..... At least Home Depot opens up at 6 AM, so I should be able to get what I need before the appointment and then I will have everything as close to ready as possible.
So far I have all the tools and supplies ready for the work at Home, next I have to actually do the work, no problem, right???

We all have our deams. Yours seem to be very similar to mine.
Today hasn’t gone as planned, had to deviate and decided to hit the Salvage Garage first, got the braces installed and just finished cutting the 3/8” Diamond plate up, now is the most time consuming part, I have to drill holes and tap them. I am almost out of daylight, so not sure I really want to get started on things tonight, just seems like an easy thing to mess up, then I will have to look at it forever.
I marked out some of the locations, but it is clear I will need to weld some new pieces in for the bolts, they used to have 5/16" bolts, I am going with 1/2" using countersunk heads, they should hold up better, most of the old bolts were broken off. I am at a good place to stop, although it is going to mess up my auction delivery schedule by a day, I can live with it, don't want anything there after Thursday as it will be too far to the end of the rows and people lose interest at that point (this is when I usually buy things.....). The weather looks like it will cooperate as well, so I can't argue with that. I have to unload the Blurb, then head up to the Hill to feed the monster, then home to finish what I started earlier, it never ends........

I think the perception of getting more things done is actually projects that have tons of pieces and parts coming to a close, I usually get a lot done, but don’t have as much to show for it.
Going to try and drop off the C-70 crane tonight, have to do a few things before I make the trip, fingers crossed it makes it without catching on fire.

That turned into failure before I even got to the end of my driveway. Between the fuel leaking (accelerator pump was useless) and the belt that gave up the ghost, I packed it in for the night. Going to regroup and possibly give up on taking the crane to the auction. I do not have the time or ambition to deal with everything right now.

I get it, and think you're right, pass on the crane for now, and concentrate on quick off loads, office, and prep for the coming cold.
I will still get the tires over there, plus a couple welders, some miscellaneous stuff, and the two forklifts. That should be a good cleanup, then once I have cleaned up my act a bit more, I can start working on selling things more often. I need to get myself back on eBay as well as marketplace for the larger stuff.
I got everything up to the office, thankfully the forklift battery lasted long enough, technically I had to use the booster pack for the last couple feet of the last cabinets, but it is on charge now. The contractor is moving along, we now have a working toilet, kitchen sink and countertop, the desks are coming together and we have a plan for the credenza. Overall it looks like he will be done this week, then everything else is on the painter and whatever custom **** I am doing.
Now I am eating lunch, then headed to the SG, can’t be too late tonight, I have a date with giant tacos and my GF.

I hope you were being flippant about that statement.
I don't want to do this, but I know I can't keep the C-70 around any longer, I am having it towed to the auction. In the end I will probably regret it and lose money, but I will roll the dice, could make some money, but it will be gone before we have white stuff on the ground. I could also haul it directly to the scrap yard, but the price of steel right now is so low I might break even......
Now I have to pull the driveshaft and get it ready, part of me is so mad, since I have the Tru-Hitch, but it is buried at the bottom of the Hill, attached to another truck, so by the time I dig it out and get setup, I will lose an entire day, a day I don't have right now. Oh well, win some, lose some.

I got almost all the holes for the aluminum deck plates drilled, about a third are tapped as well. There are four that I am going to need to weld larger tabs on and then drill and tap those later. Then there are two more holes that are in some thinner material that I may have to add more material.

That taco looks very tasty!
This morning I decided to install the alternator belt on the C-70 crane, in doing so, we found an issue with the throttle linkage that was keeping the engine from higher RPMs, now that everything has been tweaked, even with the leaking fuel, I am now going to drive the truck over to the auction. As long as it makes it, it will save me about $500. Double wish me luck.

Damn, you weren’t joking about giant tacos, those are the biggest I’ve seen. I still like my chances of handling that if I had a chance though.Awesome! I could taste all the flavors too, my first real meal with my tastebuds non-Covid style.
Had to buy $15 worth of wiper blades, bought the cheapest ones I could find, 2” too short, but I could see. No one had predicted rain, but it drizzled all day, made things soggy all around. C-70 made the trip, no fire, no issues, no speed….
Between the old gas and the carburetor issues, I had about 3000 RPMs, normally I would shift at 4000 plus and it made a big difference, could hardly keep speed if there was a hint of a hill and that was using the auxiliary four speed trans to keep close ratio when shifting. We brought a couple loads of tires over as well, tomorrow I have to get a couple forklifts and the welders, plus some random stuff that Dad wanted to go. I hope to have everything over there by tomorrow, then Friday I can spend the day working with the contractor at the office, might be able to get that done. Still haven’t heard back from the painter, but if he can’t make it, I will probably have to do it myself, otherwise I will never get in there.
