Wokspaces above 1200 squarefeet.
So the gravel is turning into a bit of a fiasco, my Cousin is running his equipment and trucks, he thought that I only wanted to level things up, but I wanted all the gravel. We have it figured out now, but it won’t get totally done until next Tuesday and that *****, because I really wanted to take the Mitsu to the Hill to do some work, not sure I want to drive back and forth, we will see how things shake out tomorrow. At least there is enough gravel to make it worth while, or at least I am going to break even on something I had to do regardless.

They are very well made, loads of heavy duty sliding drawers and taking a guess he is going repurpose it as tool storage for one of his trucks.

I must admit that box is kind of cool but not big enough for my use. I like his other service bodies much better.I need something that will let me haul around the basics for property maintenance and stuff like that, not having a dedicated truck, I think this would be a reasonable solution for now. I measured and it looks like it will fit almost perfectly in the little dump trailer, it is shorter though, so have to come up with a good way to attach it. That will give me about 15” up towards the front of the trailer to put things. If I can get the scrap steel to the yard tomorrow, I will set it in the trailer and take some pictures.

I thought you were making a dedicated truck. Will this be a quick build?
My service body has over 300,000 miles on it, Reading Classic 2 aluminum body. 600 lbs lighter than steel and no rust. 2nd truck its been on. Might find one those if you look around??
I am going to have multiple vehicles that won’t be driven in the winter, then I will have my winter or year round vehicles, I will protect them as best as I can. I hate rust more than I hate snow.
This morning is going to be a run around, I have to get trash to the dump, scrap to the yard, then pick up some 55 gallon drums, after that I can work over at the Salvage Garage for a while. Looks like I may work on cleaning things up over there until mid week of next week. After that I will concentrate on the Hill.

Since it sounds like you're going to continue to use the small dump, so are you going to make some sort of pallet that allows you to load the new vet thing quickly into it? Something already available so that you don't have to spend time on it? Metal pallet? Trying to think of ways to streamline things.

Clark’s clicky clicky gave up completely, so it took a bit more effort to get the porta-vet into the dump trailer, it fits very well. Once I position it properly, there will by 20” in front of the box, yet it felt balanced and stable while hauling the trailer back to the Hill. It is inside the shop now and I am going to feed Chuck, then head home. At least now it is inside and I can clean it out and see what systems work and what don’t.

The fridge functions on 110 volts, I put a half full water bottle in there, then set it to freezer mode, we will see if it works by tonight. There is a lot of cleaning to do before I put any tools in there, nasty stuff in most drawers from spills. The 110 volt heater and blower work. I have not hooked up the 12 volt side yet, there are a bunch of wires that I am not sure what they do, so I may have to go to porta-vet and see if they have a diagram. I also looked at the lifting eyes, they seem really well reinforced, so I think that is the best way to load and unload it. If I put it on a skid, it will be higher than I think I would like it.

$400 for that unit is definitely a you **** price.
Like I said, I bought it just for the fridge, the rest is a bonus, plus I don’t think I would have gotten the 8” PVC for Chuck without driving by my Buddy’s place. Double win. I am already figuring out what I want to build for a trailer setup, go figure.
I think I am going to use the axle less timbren system, should give a decent ride on road, but off road you don’t have to worry about the axle hanging up on things. I have to do some more research, once the new transfer tank arrives I can really do my figuring, it is going to be incorporated into the build for sure. I have some other ideas as well and I am being realistic, it isn’t going to happen next week, but I would like to get it done for next summer. At this point having the porta-vet box fit in the little dump trailer so well is awesome, the transfer tank won’t fit, kind of *****, but I would prefer to have two trailers versus having to assemble or disassemble my setup every time I need the other setup. Trailers are dirt cheap to register and insure in Maine, more trailers, less trucks.

Tomorrow it is going to rain, so I am trying to get everything that shouldn’t get wet either inside or under cover, making room inside the Salvage Garage is a priority for sure. I am going to load one of the bulk bags with black beauty to see how that goes, if I can get all the sandblasting media out of the shop, things will almost be back to normal.
I loaded one bulk bag, 45 of the 60 pound bags, the rack is a bit cumbersome and makes it tougher to load, I may try just using the forks to hold the bag up. I didn’t even unload an entire pallet, going to be a process for sure, there appears to be three grits of media, going to keep them together, at least until I have a little of each left, then it is getting combined.

yes but any fridge will do that, Why is it important in a service body?It is going in a Burb, perfect size. It is more useful in the summer, but any road trip or even hitting the grocery store it can be helpful. I just need a Burb that I can trust, the Blurb seems to be the worst one I have ever owned as far as trusting it. Right now it is still doing weird things with the throttle and the mileage is down to 13.5, not as bad as the original 12, but it was at 15.5 or above. I think the wiring is all messed up from the previous owner wrapping it in some **** that has melted all around and you can’t get it off. Both the throttle and transmission rely on these wires to work properly. I am going to have to swap out the engine harness sooner rather than later, I want to coincide it with some work on the engine if I can, that way I won’t be doing things twice.
