I think I should have been up earlier, it would have allowed me to get a couple more things done. I essentially lost two days because of my stair fumble. :(

I have to clean up this mess before it freezes Friday night. I still have a ton to do outside as well, all that needs to be done before it freezes too, most before the rain starts.

Then there is a boat…

That is another boat, trailer or not, it is just the fact that Dad refuses to try and help the situation that is already bad. In fact he usually makes things worse and I do believe it is on purpose.

I have the sander loaded, of course it doesn’t function properly, seems to be the typical way, you pressure wash it, oil it up, store it inside and it still doesn’t work. I hate winter.

It's almost like your dad secretly hates you or something. :(

Dad and I had a conversation, after another couple arguments, he thought that I wasn’t paying him any rent and was mad, I explained to him that I pay the company and it is credited against his draws, it was the way the accountant wanted it and it allowed us to track the rent. Originally he wanted cash and there was no way I was doing that, I could see more issues with that. Anyways, things are going to get much worse, I am sure of that, he didn’t remember that we had a lease that was signed, this is why I wanted a paper trail, so at least I have one. I think it was about two weeks ago when we discussed paying more rent and having it go towards the purchase, he knew I was paying rent at that point. This isn’t going to be fun for the long haul.

Did it start snowing there yet? I think we got about 4" so far. A long way from the 12" they were predicting mid-week. It is pretty cold and the wind is pretty bad.

Certainly has that feeling..............maybe a ex-employee......or somebody very jealous of Strouty's situation. :dunno:
You've got something there. This guy's been around for 6 years, only finally got up the nerve to start ****-posting this year. 23 posts and all in Strouty's thread. No other activity anywhere else. None. Not even reading anything else. It's someone who knows Strouty and has decided to stalk him.

Well Alfman can stalk me, no big deal.

We are getting all rain, 50 degrees, lots of wind, by tomorrow morning it will be 12 degrees and anything that can't drain will be frozen solid. I am not looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Maybe we will get lucky and the snow and bankings will all disappear, maybe. At least at that point there would essentially be a reset, I could handle that. I am still at home, worked until about 10 last night, my Buddy helped me until 9 and it saved me having to work all night.

I am headed to the Hill now, just picked up some supplies for times when I am hungry. It is raining pretty good, I am now soaked and I haven’t done anything yet. I suspect the Hill will be pretty slippery tomorrow, I plan on bringing the plow home tonight, that way I can sand on my way in, just have to wait for the rain to stop, they are saying 6PM or so. After I drop off the groceries and feed Chuck, I am headed to the Salvage Garage for a bit, then I have some more errands to do, I would like to try and take it easy this weekend, I am beat.

Well, we may just get a complete reset, I am sure there will be ice, but the snow may be all gone. Later next week they are calling for 40s and 50s with more rain. I kind of feel like I am in Washington state, except there is lots of rust.

And just like that, plans change, I luckily just finished Chucks food, was going to fill the water tank again, but we lost power. I am probably going to have to deal with a generator at the tower now. Hopefully I can get that thing figured out soon, then it will be just a matter of keeping it fueled up.

NJ has a high of 47 today and lots of rain, low of 7 tonight. This weather is bonkers. I won't be going anywhere for a few days.

NJ will warm up again next week, I hope Maine does the same so you're not stuck with the ice either.

I think we are showing a similar pattern, good luck, hope you don’t lose power.

Generator is running for tower, now I have to figure out what I am going to do to keep Chuck warm. I have a couple small generators, can probably get the heat to function, then run the fridge for a while if needed.

I am off to the SG now to see what that looks like. I was going to take some pictures of the Quonset hut, but there are no lights. We ended up getting the boat inside, moved the Mack, the cement trailer, then put the ramp truck and F-350 inside. There is a lot of water at the front door right now, so I raised it up about 6” so it can’t freeze closed, ask me how I know about that. ;)

I found a generator with a 220volt outlet, should be able to run the water pump along with heat and fridge. I hope it doesn’t come to that, I have plenty of water, so that isn’t too big of a deal, I just wanted to use the warm weather to get things filled again. I confirmed the generator runs and creates at least 120 volts. If power is still out tonight, I will probably pull it out and setup temporarily juice for the heat and fridge. I can see that when I setup the new panel, I am wiring in a generator transfer switch so that I will be ready for the future. 37C0D245-BCF1-4A27-BF96-169E230A39D3.jpeg

Thanks Eric!

We have gotten a lot of water, close to the most I have ever seen at the Salvage Garage. I have the Mitsu loaded and am about to head back to the Hill, loading in the rain *****, I had to chain down the tracks before I could swing the boom around, it kept sliding around. 70025593-A50E-4331-B185-C6C21C444D59.jpeg320C27B6-84DA-4993-A622-2D40DE0A67A3.jpeg98103726-5F53-4D25-9DE1-A45BB6A773CE.jpeg7059D1F8-F3FD-419D-BEA0-AEB6DAA74400.jpeg9AEB18C7-5CB1-44F7-9853-384DB805CDAD.jpeg
