With as many vehicles in our fleet, and since I don't drive over half of them, I'm trying to get my kids to listen for the lifter rattle. With the Orphan (Saturn SL1), that doesn't work. I just tell her to check the oil at least once a week.Tonight the GF says her check engine light is on, so I put the scan tool on it, cam codes for variable timing, I check her oil, then proceed to add 4 1/4 quarts of oil. I told if if she wants to get rid of the car there are other ways to do it.
@Strouty, I would call their 'new' customer line and ask how to cancel. Sales people tend to have some influence over the service people.I am getting mad, if it wasn’t my internet, I would probably cut the line and let them sort it out.
We had a problem with city techs ignoring a situation here. A call to their legal department pointing out their ignored unsafe condition & the injury it might cause got immediate attention. Apparently sometimes lawyers have influence on the techs. It might be worth a shot.Spectrum has still ignored my request to put the line back on the pole, they keep sending a “tech” out and then do nothing about it. I am getting mad, if it wasn’t my internet, I would probably cut the line and let them sort it out.
I hate wood, I hate logs, I hate pine trees, I hate sawmills.
I'm still on the floor laughing my *** off!I don’t like sawdust much either.
The neighbor did that starting about 6 or 7 years ago. Put in a 500,000 Btu wood boiler for his house and shop. He's about 80. he and his wife spend literally almost ALL year cutting wood to feed that dragon. He bought a super fancy 20hp log splitter and a big new holland tractor with loader to support all that cutting. I can't believe he wants to spend his sunset years doing that all the time, but whatever floats your boat i guess....I heated the home I'm in for 31+ years, foraging for the wood at least half of those years and getting semi loads the other years (a 10 cord half semi load would last almost three years). I quit about 2010 for good. I miss the heat, but the rest of it (my neighbor referred to it as my "hobby") I do not miss one bit.
I've heated with wood for 30 years, the key, small tight house and small tight shop. I have installed two ductless mini splits in house and today I am heating with them. Shop heats with solar and wood stove when I'm out there. 3 cords for both is all it takes. No way would I want a 500k btu wood boiler, that thing must consume some wood. I will say its by far the cheapest way to heat in MaineThe neighbor did that starting about 6 or 7 years ago. Put in a 500,000 Btu wood boiler for his house and shop.
