I would appreciate anything my S'S offers. Last year's did great. As for items I do low voltage field work so anything there I would appreciate. I like anything from ratchets, screwdrivers, cutters, and pliers. I like screwdriver bits and drivers as well. You can go wrong with anything.

I'd appreciate anything really.

I'm a big fanboy of US made tools or quality, like German made & such.
I have most all sockets/wrenches, tho as my signature says one final set is alluding me...

I am a Mustang owner (fox body, 1984). and work in auto manufacturing. I love hot rods, road racing, photography... I recently started powder coating as a side hobby. I LOVE old hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, sockets)... What got me hooked was working on things with my parents and grandfather. I inherited his tool set and tool boxes which is what got me started. I have some old signage posted up in my garage.... I just had my first born in September as well, and now have a son I will be teaching as he grows.

My first project I am doing for him is with my two weeks off for Christmas coming up, I am going to restore my original steel bodied Radio Flyer wagon from when I was a kid for him to enjoy as he gets bigger!! I have it ready to be torn down and have decals being remade...

I realize this is more of an about me than a wish list. But hopefully this gives ideas. I am not picky by any means. I am really looking forward to giving someone a gift more than anything.

Happy Holidays everyone!

I will definitely appreciate anything. I am honestly really looking forward to shopping for my recipient, I feel like I will enjoy that a lot.

A little about me; I am 18 years old and live by myself. I am currently a tech school student studying to become a technician. My number one hobby is ATV'ing (dirtbike/quads). I built a YZ125 from the ground up, restored a vintage sand blaster, restored drill presses, you get the picture.... I love to restore older tools and such. I have more recently gotten in to shooting a bit (I bought a Ruger 10/22, need magazines (and ammunition of course) for it). I am a bit of a hoarder, but an organized hoarder; I do not remember the last time I SOLD something. Anything I acquire, I will find a use for.

In particular, I like; older high quality tools (USA, Snap On, Mac, Cornwell, Channellock, etc.), I kinda have a 3/8'' drive ratchet collection going on (i am in desperate need of a long handled 1/2'' drive ratchet). I like unique items. And of course, me being a tech school student, I have most of the basic tools (well, a lot; a roll cab and 2 chests full of them), I am in more need of specialty tools; a good multimeter (by no means would i expect this, just listing off), electronic diagnosis equipment, noid lights, fuel pressure gauge, compression tester, etc.

And, my wanted thread
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175499

That's me in a nutshell. Happy holidays, and Merry Christmas to all!

This is my rookie year for the Secret Santa.I look forward to hopefully bringing a smile and thumbs up to my recipient.Maybe I will stumble upon an elusive tool or part.

As for myself,I am 46,married w/ two teenagers.I am a mechanic foreman for a municipality.I truly enjoy my job.But I truly hate junk tools.I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt and got burned.

I mostly buy/own Snap-on,blue point, mac, also Japan and German tools.Fords are my preferred make.I like unique promo stuff from ford,snap-on,etc..

Dont bust your **** trying to make me happy...have fun and Have a great Holiday fellow tool hoarders !

Well, I can see that finding something for my new friend will be challenging and I can also see he has yet to post up here.. Uh hum…

But for me its easy. I am pushing 50, but my wife thinks that is in dog years. I am a Ford person and automotive enthusiast. Old NASCAR (Pearson 21) Vintage Drag racing. Cash does not make my **** look big (oops wrong list). Rt. 66 stuff is fun, of course I enjoy fixing things, making things, and being creative with them.
A couple years ago my daughter needed some wings for her Halloween costume, did I buy some plastic crappy 12” wings? NO. I bent up some aluminum tubing and covered them with shinny cloth. The only 52” kid with 4’ wings…
Any way, I am a big kid a heart and anything Santa (I Believe) would like to send me would be great.

This is my first year for the secret Santa and I am cool with anything my ss sends my way.

A lil bit about me.. Recently turned 30, married with an amazing 1 year old daughter, hope to have a garage to call my own one day soon, full time automotive mechanic.

My interests are working on cars and trucks at work or at home, snap-on tools and promo items (especially green), lowriders, some metal fabrication, chevy cars and dodge trucks are my brands.

I am good with whatever and look forward to finding a gift for my secret Santa.

I really don't like asking for things so this is just going to be an about me of sorts.

I'm a welder/building maintenance tech, I work mainly of shipping containers that are damaged by careless fork lift drivers. I'm 27 if for some reason that helps.

I'm into lots of different things. I enjoy riding motorcycles (07 Harley Electra Glide), ATV's/off roading, working on my never ending project which is a 94 Mustang and I also enjoy shooting. And I've recently got back into coin collecting. I really like banners for the garage, anything auto/motorcycle related is awesome.

I don't really know what else to add without listing a want list, anyway I hope that helps.

This is my first year in the swap. Should be a lot of fun.

I'm open to most anything.

I'm in to vintage tools.. Especially Williams and Plomb.
I'm a pilot and plane nut..
I'm into guns, early Ford Bronco's, old garage art and Alabama football.
All sorts of "vintage items."

I consider myself a Christian man don't have room for pin-ups and beer items. Not knocking them, they just don't go up on my walls.

Thanks in advance to my Secret Santa, don't take my list too seriously, I'll appreciate whatever you come up with!

Updated from last year:

My interests vary from tools to guns, knives, motorcycles, bbq, and baseball. I like quality and used in good shape is new to me. Brands I like are SO, Mac, Knipex, Wera, Geodore, Craftsman, BMW, Leatherman, Ruger. I like SO black ergo hard handles. I want to try NWS pliers some time. I like cool bottle openers, especially vintage or tool related. I have a new (to me) Hazet Assistent, so euro tools to fill it up are always great.

Items specifically on my wish list:

A new EDC pocket knife
FSM191 19mm socket, 3/8 drive, 6 pt, shallow
TM4CSA - 1/4 extension/handle
Stubby combo wrench set
Westling socket storage

My wife complains that I am hard to shop for at Christmas time. As I have spent the last hour racking my brain figuring out something I need that can actually be found easily, I see she has a point.

So a few possible options in no particular order...

Craftsman Industrial or Professional 10mm full polish combination wrench
old USA made Vise Grip
Knipex 7" water pump pliers (or anything else Knipex)
Craftsman 10mm deep socket, 1/4 drive, 6 pt
4" angle grinder cutoff wheels (such as Makita 742039-A-5, 742040-A-5, or equivalent)
#10 spindle oil (pint or quart, E-bay is probably the cheapest)
Dykem Blue layout fluid (spray or can with brush in lid)
A pliers rack, like shown in the thread:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=208302

Or just surprise me!

Thanks

I desperately need 1/4" extensions of any length.
Been looking to pick up a Makita BML185 to go with my drills.
Any USA made ratchets.
Screwdriver handle bottle openers.

Outside of the tool world I'm into guns and jetskiing!

Merry Christmas!!!!

I would be happy with anything really. However I could use any of the following and am interested in Proto or plomb tools, Stickers of any kind for my roll around toolbox, metric tools for working on import motorcycles ( sockets especially), a 3/8 long ratchet, anything ryobi 18v cordless, or channel lock or vise grip type pliers.
Anything would be great though and feel free to surprise me!

I work on coffee equipment on-site and have a nice tool bag that I put my better tools into but do need to replace my small adjustable pliers.

I have looked at an small inspection light to see through a small hole into the boilers and such .

My walls are still a bit bare and could use a sign to brighten it up.

I have a small x2 mill that I am learning on. I enjoy welding, metal work, woodworking and messing around in the garage.

I am not a big fan of tchotchkes as I do not have the shelf space but I do have a soft spot for most things mechanical.

I'm a stuck in the 70's, hot rods come from junkyards kinda guy (according to my family).
USA 1 license plates, any type of tool if it's needed or not....Chevy bow ties and fender emblems......but if a guy takes the time to buy or make something, It'll be cool just to see the kind of stuff he thinks are neat.

I'm not picky, I've gotten some great items over the years. We're still have some killer Canadian maple syrup left from last year.

However, I am working on completing my socket drawer. I've got mostly US Craftsman but I'm not picky on brand or new/used as long as they're US made. Truthfully, a socket or two toward filling the empty spaces would be great! It could be an inexpensive gift if you know where to look or have some extras you'd like to pass on.

Here's my wish list:

3/8 drive metric:
20mm deep
20mm short
6mm deep
7mm deep
8mm deep

1/2" drive standard:
1-1/16 deep
1-1/8 deep
1-1/4 deep
1-1/4 short

1/2 drive metric:
22, 23, 24, 25 and 27 deep
23, 24, 25 and 27 short

Other than that, I'd be interested in a decent test light, too.

You can put me on the list as one of the people that don't like to tell people what to get them. I will appericiate anything that I get.

About myself. I am a Mechanical engineering student currently working for a national lab as a mechanical designer. I consider myself a hobby machinist. Any measuring tools, gages, etc. I'm also into woodworking. I have all the basic hand tools but always like extra especially if their old/quality.

Thanks!

I probably have all the tools I'll need for a while but I do love me some Hazet stuff. I've been eyeing the 3/8th long handle flex head ratchet at northern tool for a while ;). But I'd love anything Santa sends.

I spend a lot of time with Craig'slist and Ebay. I recently purchased a Dalton Six metal lathe and am looking for cutters and tooling. My first big project is building axle housings for a pedal pulling tractor. I'm partial to Ford tractors and trucks.

3baygarage here, and I 'd like to say a few words about Secret Santa.
First of all, I have not been involved in one since the 6th grade (By the way, the Basketball cards sucked, so thanks a lot Santa!, LOL). It was a fun time with the class though.
Secondly, I'd just like to say that I'm pretty blessed when it comes to having (most) things that I need.
As far as my interests, I do enjoy tool collecting. It has developed it into a hobby over the years. Hoarders can have hobbies right?
I really appreciate good American made tools(ratchets &drive tools, wrenches, etc.), old and new, and always collecting more. But as far as gift ideas, I wouldn't expect anyone to go by someone's hobby, because that's their own personal thing.
Truthfully I'm happy to receive anything someone takes the time to send me. I know it's early yet, but in advance to help get me in the mood I'd like to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Probably my favorite tools are Williams-(pre Snap On). Doesn't matter what it is the feel in my hands is wonderful.
I also like the old Craftsman BE tools. Don't now why but maybe the 1/4"set I got did it.
I'm also a Ford nut as well.
!/16 and 1/64 toy farm tractors are cool.
Heck anything OLD AGRICULTURE literature is good.
1/18 Scale cars are nice.
Really anything is appreciated.
Just having the opportunity to associate with the great folks here is wonderful.

I want an end mill. one of those fancy ones that uses indexable carbides. Oh, yeah, it has to be the special one that will magically turn my Rockwell drill press + Harbor Freight cross slide vise into a milling machine. It could happen...:dunno:

I'm up for whatever my ss thinks is cool. I would appreciate anything. If my ss needs ideas. Any tools or garage related stuff. I like welding/fabricating just fixing things in general. I know not much help. I could use some gloves(xl) but anything is fine by me. I figure whatever another member here thinks is cool I would like and enjoy.

I'm probably hard to buy for as I drive a mobile tool box.
I collect Armstrong Eliminator sockets, and i have 3/8 metric set and 1/4 SAE set, so a couple of loose sockets would be great as they are very hard to find in England.
I also collect 9/16 combi wrenches. Or just surprise me, as i will be grateful for whatever I receive.

Honestly, I'm good with anything. Homemade is good. Store bought is good. Garage sale / craigslist deals and steals work too. :

Metal working, wood working, jewelry and lapidary--you name it when it comes to tools, I'm always grateful.

I don't really have any signs or the like, but I love old fashioned enameled signs. I'm also into guitars.

Here's a short tool want list:
a good pipe wrench
Starrett 264A center punch
A nice 4? 6? 8? in one flip style screwdriver
Wood router stuff. Just bought my first trim router
wood working bench chisels
