as it is its worked out pretty well. It isn't often that I need to get the car higher than a couple feet so I might not bother with all that at all.

I got time to roll that around though

This is something I noticed with my old shed. It was 14ft so I could put the full height lift. I found I only raised it about 4-5ft of the ground most of the time and it was easier for me to scoot around on my little wheeled stool under the car as it has a tool tray around the base.

I just found myself rarely raising the car 6ft or more.

So this garage, I've saved money and only built it 10ft high at walls.
Wish we had the Maxjax in Australia. They look cool

A couple new dodads.

picked up a steel cabinet. got a good deal.

finally wired up my subpanel, got the GFCI circuit feeding the outside outlet for the air compressor which is also on a switch.

Garage is coming along nice, once you get that sheetrock up and painted white, the place will look completely different. Keep the updates coming.

Thanks! fixing up a garage and a car while taking care of the family is like fighting a war on 3 fronts financially. the car is keeping its straight six 2jz BTW. as far as the engine goes i want to try some unique stuff with it (as far as the 2JZ is concerned anyhow).

Ok, so I had no idea you could remove a max jack in and out like that! Wow, talk about freeing up shop space when you need it. That is great!

See, you can do it. I think you have a great approach to this. You have a plan of what you want and have started to get all of the jobs done one at a time. The relocating of the lift motor worked out really well. A credit to you.

thanks! this was the part i was dreading. once i throw up some sheetrock for the walls i'll be able to add cabinets as needed. i'm gonna add a turbine to the roof to **** out the hot air since summer is coming up.

hopefully i can get walls rocked in the next couple months.

I've learned a few things lately.

First, sheetrock dust in the eye is pretty painful.
Second, guys that frame garages don't care much for proper spacing of studs.
Third, its really really nice having light walls to bounce light off of. I can actually work in the shop at night now.

Thanks! Got around to installing some harbor freight cabinets. I think i'll pick up a couple more, they really are perfect for spray paint and other misc tubes/tubs of gunk.

I'm no electrician so this is my first subpanel install ever. I swapped some breakers around and ran some 8-3 off a 30 amp double throw breaker to this little guy. The 8 gives me room to go up to a 40 amp breaker if I need it later on. A little overkill for my application but I guess thats probably best.

And I made a little shelf for the handy dandy Echo Dot and the new stereo. Hands free is pretty awesome when you've got wheel bearing grease all over your paws.

I'm gonna add an outlet above the stereo when i do the ceiling to clean up the wires.

Got my wiring for the walls settled so the walls are 100% minus tape and float. I have a dedicated 120 20A plug and the exposed bluebox is disconnected wiring for a 220V 30A circuit.

Now I just gotta figure out what I want to do with that mess of a ceiling.

I think I've decided to not do a sheetrock ceiling and instead do spray in foam.

looking good. ive been going back and forth between copper and rapid air kit. I have 3/8 now and its way to small lol

life just got a little better in the shop. I didn't even use all of the kit, still have one drop and I haven't decided where to put it. I highly recommend this over copper. It was literally plug and play and I've heard of copper joints cracking over time.
