Some nice midget ignition wrenches there, Todd. What brand of pliers are in that top set in the last image? The catalog shows those to have been Channellock. Any Idea when Bonney switched to using their own branded midget pliers?
Those are unbranded. They appear to be stamped.........very thin and not at all well made. I think I have a Lectrolite pair floating around somewhere that resemble them if I recall correctly. Without going through the catalogs, I'm not sure when they switched over.
And.........more bad news Jason, the 1140 DBE slipped right in between my 1139 and 1141........I didn't have a 1140. Also, no luck on the Bonney DBE. Appears more fleas are in order!
Those P&C wrenches are neat! I've never seen those before.A Walden and some P&C wrenches

Really dig that OTC torque wrench!![]()

This is an OTC 1/4 drive 0 to 100 in/lbs.

I checked Jason and I only have these 2 Bonney drivers that both came with this kit. Thanks for the clarification. I went with a Bonney branded pair to finish of the larger set I have. The smaller set shouldn't have pliers, I don't think...
Too bad on the Plomb 1140, would have gone great next to my AC marked 1135
Here's my 2 Bonney ignition sets, and a Herbrand for good measure. I'm still looking for a midget Bonney driver.

Don, here's a side by side of my midget Duro driver and an Indestro Super driver. You've seen it before I think...

And a midget BluePoint driver that now lives somewhere else.

Really dig that OTC torque wrench!
Does the box say 3/8" drive?![]()
You are right. The box says 3/8". but I don't have it here so I'll have to answer your question another time.
It is one of my favorite tools but of course it doesn't get much use. I like OTC and Owatonna tools in general and have thought of making a thread for them but it is not easy to access my stuff since it is mostly crammed in a smaller room.
The smallest one, the Tonichi, I bought only because I couldn't believe there was such a thing or a use for it. It is small, no?
Fact is that sometimes with smaller torque values I think we need more help than with the higher torque values.
I believe that your OTC torque wrench is made by Sturtevant because I have an identical one that is a Sturtevant. Regardless, it's a quality tool.
Or maybe the Sturtevants are made by OTC? I have 2 Sturtevants. One 0-150 ft/lbs and another 0-50 ft/lbs. The short one, 0-50 is quite rare I think. The big one I have owned for more than 40 years.
I have clickers that I prefer to use but I use the bar wrenches to check the settings on the clickers.
Sturtevant has always been Sturtevant. OTC is a supplier of special tools to the auto industry, and they have bought from other companies as needed. I have 0-35 and 0-50 wrenches as well, and a 300 lb/ft monster.
Motorman, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that little unmarked socket set with the green holder is what remains from a model 2104 Indestro set. I won't stake my life on it though. Does it have a patent number (or patent date) or model number stamped on the bottom of the holder?
d42jeep - Now that is odd. I have one yellow-handled Indestro 136, and I just picked up two clear-handled NOS Indestro 136, but like I said before, I'm not collecting Duro-Chrome.... so... the Indestro was yellow and the Duro-Chrome was orange? Or is that the result of UV light working on that particular formulation of plastic handle?
(But then, thinking of the other yellow-handled stuff I have here and have seen posted here, I don't recall seeing anything looking like "orange".)
I think I've got one of those somewhere around here. just got a set of 12-points with that one in it too. still shy the "middle years" model, though.

I took a couple of new pics of the 0-100 in/lb OTC torque wrench I posted yesterday. It is 3/8 drive. Still working on getting my better camera on lne again but right now all I have is a cell phone.
