Not quite the same configuration, but there is no question of the quality or comfort in use. Made in Germany. These are from the Kniepex Orbis line.

The Diagonal cutters happen to be on sale now at Menard's. https://www.menards.com/main/electrical/wiring-accessories/electrical-tools/electrical-hand-tools/knipex-orbis-angled-diagonal-pliers/9o21180sba/p-1444437030589-c-6455.htm?tid=-7950865244510158122&ipos=2

Amazon has them as well.

iirc snapon air blow guns are made by JWL Denmark labelled as Air boy, a few vendors about for those in the uk. Quality USA brands often endorsed on the forum are hard to come by here

SCHLEY 15300....Most specialty tool lines are made by ATD, Performance tool, Powerbuilt and if you're lucky Lang Tools (U.S.A.).

Does anyone have an equivalent or better option for these? Matco mst15300 exhaust gas sensor sockets. I also found them branded as schley but nothing under the $100 mark.

Really need the 14 and 17mm in both configurations.e995cecdfe92dae0550744ec95af4f74.jpg982a6b5250bd1f773f5702da98e2ff71.jpg

Most of the Carlyle Tools sold at NAPA made by the same exact APEX Manufacturing vendor that makes MATCO's tools (on the same exact assembly line) .....only difference is the color of the handle and the name on it. ((((even the packaging is identicle (just a different color box with a different name on it)
Also, SK Tools is owned by IDEAL. And most of SK's pliers can be purchased at a Lowe's store under the "IDEAL" name (rebranded) in the Electrical isle. (Also Electrical supply stores will also carry those IDEAL tools too

Does this include the flex head ratchets? Was looking for a matco flex head ractet alternative and now that armstrong is disconnected was looking at Carlyle. However, my understanding those were manufactured overseas.

the main purpose of "Tool trucks" are to provide tools to pro mech. so they can finance and buy tools on payments. Most mech. will wait till their tool man comes by and replace broke tools on the spot. Some of the more obvious tools are forged wrenchs, tool boxes and specialty tools. Tool men also will repair some tools that you couldn't buy parts for quickly. The reason tools are so expensive is because there is such a thief rate, mech will quit and a tool man will never see them again. When I got out (after only 5 years) I had over $12,000 in skips. I knew one tool man that had over $250,000 in skips, he had been doing it a long time. It gets to a point you have to keep working to keep your head above water, thats why I got out when I could.

Snap On 5 pc front end puller set kdt41690
seems to be the Gearwrench 5 pc front end puller set kdt41690. I noticed this while shopping around and couldn’t help but see that Snap On had the same exact part number and picture...roughly double the price and am pretty sure OTC 6295 is the same too

Kastar 971 thread repair kit seems to be exactly the same as Mac/Matco/SO and others.

While I haven't read every comment in this thread, it should be considered that there may be differences in the metallurgy between brands. Made by the same company on the same line doesn't necessarily mean that the same metal composition is being used.

Lang, formerly Kastar, makes the rethreading taps and dies for everyone as well as under own name.

Haven't made it to the end yet but I have to warn anyone looking at these the Craftsman rethread kit has less metric sizes than the others. I just got one as a Christmas gift and it only has about 4 sizes I use working on imports.

All those thread restorer kits are produced by Lang/kaster.
Have the snap on at work, and the lang at home. Cases are the same, placement of the pieces are all the same to.

Mac Shock and Strut installation tool kit #78554

The same as Steelman Pro #78554

As far as I can tell the only difference is the label, price and warranty. For the price of the Steelman I can by a few Macs and still be ahead.

Could be because there are two different Craftsman kit available: a 40 piece and 48 piece! Get the bigger kit. :lol_hitti

Yep 40 piece. I don't think I've ever seen the 48 and I used to manage the tool department at a pretty big sears years ago.

Matco Quickflow Drill Fluid Transfer Pump PK71196 ($190) is, no surprise, the same as Private Brand Tools Quickflow Drill Fluid Transfer Pump PBT71196 ($112).

Snap On Heavy Duty Brake Caliper Spreader BTCP2S ($???) is the same as Private Brand Tools 4-in-1 Brake Pad Spreader PBT70915 ($94).

Great tool, BTW.
