Just commenting to get my name in this thread. I want one if they are ever made. I am a old member but my old computer crashed and I lost all my log in info.

Sorry so much for the necropost, but I noticed that on humanhoist.com's 'Updates' page it says:

August 2016 - Human Hoist is released for sale to the General Public

But I'm not seeing it for sale anywhere. Anyone seen these for sale anywhere yet?

I want one. I really want one.

Damn, I banged my head just watching that guy go back and forth under the car. Pretty awesome though. That would probably save a lot of knees and backs.

These are available for the measly sum of $12,500.

So who is still interested :)

Cheers Andrew

lol, so much for the 'Supposedly' in the OP ....

Anyone see this on Invention USA? Pretty dang cool. The 2 guys who built it are brother-in-laws that have been working on the design for years. Supposedly the price is around $1000. If I were a professional mechanic, I'd want one.

I wasn't a bad boy this year, but I'll never have been good enough for santa to bring me a $13k creeper

I could possibly see this in use in a factory assembly where they build a machine from the ground up in one location. Or the government buying it to help prevent occupational injury. But I would doubt that you will see this AT a garage near you anytime soon.

even if it was only 1000$ I doubt you'd see many mechanics buying them. You just dont do much work on jack stands these days.

I work in a shop with 8 techs, and we have 0 creepers.

I've worked in a few shops, and uhm, out of 5 shops, I can remember 2 guys that had creepers. And I don't recall either of them ever using them.

I have 3 creepers at my house, and none of my vehicles will get high enough off the ground to make them useful (on jack stands anyways) That with the jackstands at a maximum safe height, and on all 4 corners.

They just don't work.

Now if my truck was a bit higher, it would be useful. But I guess ground clearance on modern vehicles isn't what it used to be.

I forgot to take a link. I found an asking price of $14,500usd. After tax the price will be over $20,000 in Canadian money.
I will happily pay $2,000 because I need this creeper/chair. I am not going to be buying this chair. I can afford to pay 2 grand because I was careful. I am a little angry.

Yeah ever since I got my 2 post 10 years ago I've used creepers a handful of times, and often for stuff I could have done on the bare concrete - usually just a quick visual inspection.

It's a cool thing and will have applications in specific industry I'm sure, but they probably shouldn't focus marketing efforts on the average auto repair tech or shop.

Absolutely. If I were Trump or Bezos (or even Jay Leno) I'd have one just 'cause!!
Perfect example, Bill Gates has a trampoline room. Not a room with a trampoline in it, an actual trampoline room..lol

I would have a bunch of useless cool **** If I were a billionaire.:lol_hitti

At $12k you can buy a damn nice lift and have plenty of change left over. I’d much rather have a good lift than a creeper

I use a creeper daily because they don’t make lifts for heavy equipment. Would I love a powered creeper? Yes. Would it be usable under a D5 or a backhoe? No

I’m sure they aren’t getting much sales at 12k either
