So today was about having a good cleanup inside the shop, then installing the insulation and boards on the other side wall :D The paint in the clean room wasn't dry enough as it's a bit cold, I'll have to seal the corners tomorrow and do the 2nd coat next weekend :)

Today I focused on the back wall of the shop, Because of the frame normal insulation would be impossible so I cut some more recycled OSB to fit in the spaces. 3 layers in the frame then one over them to make it 50mm thick :) I will add insulation in the section above the tin before a final layer of ply from top down to the top of the tin, Once that is done the final layer of finish board can go on :) I am putting a lot on effort in to this wall for insulation as it is the end where the bad neighbour is and I just don;t want to hear him hahahahahaha.. I also managed to get the frame for the door in and seal the corners of the clean room ready for more paint :D

Your shop/shed looks real good, recycling at its best when when it all goes as planned, functional and still very creative.
My first shed was 20' x 36', had a mate that had jigs to make an almost identical frame like yours. Just cut all of the individual pieces, placed them in the jigs and welded them up.

Came up a treat, mate! Any more plans for the exterior? Pathway/landscaping? Or are you just going to focus on the inside now that it's ready to be used.

No pictures today and apart from the final coat of paint on the clean room walls at the weekend, I didn't work on the shop as I was felling like a half flat tyre ;) Today (Monday) I came home from wk and did get a couple of things done, Ran the power cable from the first wall point in the shop up to the center roof point where the hanging outlets will be. Then I ran some network cable for a camera location on the outside rear of the shop to watch down the side of the house and rear of shop, Lastly I mounted the bracket and created the cable path for the 65" touch screen in the clean room ;) Just about ready for my Sparky to come over and fit the sub board and liven up the place :)

So I top coated the shop walls yesterday and after work tonight I fitted up my signs from the old shop :) I still need to fit the trim between the top and tin and of course all the power points :p It's starting to look like a shop now after putting the stuff around the sides

Well I have completed a fair few of the item's on the to do list :) The carpet is down, the assembly bench is built and the rack display for my models is built. After a cleanup weekend last weekend, This weekend I got on with finishing the external door frame and decided to use the leftover board from the front as the trim for the shop. So after staining and oiling yesterday I installed today and the list to complete gets smaller :)

Love the Civic! I had the HKS Opel Vectra in a FWD Tamiya chassis back in '97, then about 10yrs ago I bought a DTM E30 BMW. They're just shelf ornaments now, sadly.

The Devil is in the details 😄 This weekend I focused on all the finishing item's, I started by adding the discrete supports under the bench which has made all the difference :) Next I install all 18 power points, including the ones over the work bench :D Next up was the architraves in the clean room for both doors, Still need to fill the nails holes and paint them but I'm happy to see them on :p Lastly I finally pulled all the network / Camera / Aerial and corrugated conduit (for the main power) through the main conduit :O I really am ready to have the Sub board fitted off now :D :D

Had a Visit from the mysterious Cat Boy too 😄

Bumped in to my Sparky today and he hooked me up with some extra 6mm power cable to complete the rough in of the main sub board feed, It fought me a little but it's done. The most exciting thing is that I have taken Friday off and he is coming over to connected the Board and finally have stand alone power in the shop :)

Every day I do a couple of jobs around the house while hanging out with my 3yo :) Today's workshop job was the 2 sections of pitch trim, I cut them to size on the saw bench then hole sawed and router'd the rest to finished. A few coats of painted and I installed after they had dried, Very pleased :)

After pulling 5 barrow loads of dirt out, Leveling and compacting I cleaned and laid 350 pavers (the first recycling of the old driveway ) Swept and vibrated 160kg of mortar mix in to the gaps then wet and brushed. Will clean up the finished over the next days as the mortar should be kept moist for a week, Not bad for my first paving job over 3 days with a 3yo 😄

3 down and 1 to go :) Today I made the mount for the vice, This one needed to go to the floor for obvious reasons ;) This vice has special importance to me as it is the vice that I grew up with from my Fathers shed in New Zealand, When we moved him out this was the only thing I really wanted to bring back with me (could you imagine the look on the face of the guy screening the bags at the airport that day hahaha) It is a Record auto vice 74, patented 1935-1949. I have given it a good clean but will leave it in it's used green paint because the old boy painted all his tool's this colour (Kelly Green) If you come to my shed you will find 3 tools this colour ;) Stoked :)
