These are my two Angl-Head HeXo wrenches:
#15306 1 1/16” x 1” DBE
#15304 13/16” x 3/4” DBE

AA estimates Blackhawk made the HeXo wrenches from 1934-1936. I like the “Chrome-Vanadium" on the shank too.

Ended up with these in a trade yesterday

(excuse the Armstrong, Stanley and other strays)
Also, this

I have another one of these, a little more beat up, but mine did not have this in it

I plan to combine the better parts of my old box with this, giving me the second chrome strip and missing drawer, but I will have to be on the look out for a Cat medalian for the front. Also, I will need to wet sand some sense into the piss-poor respray.

If you end up with an extra drawer knob, I'd love to buy one. :)

Well guys
I have found the holy grail of Blackhawk (for me anyway)

Remember that I made the Blackhawk totum pole a couple of years ago?
Well last week while walking around the Hershey swap meet I ran across this.

IMG_9159.JPGIMG_9162.JPGIMG_9161.JPGIMG_9160.JPG

Because I had limited space in my Expedition I had a friend who was selling there haul it home for me and tomorrow I'm going to pick it up and bring it home.
Now I'm on the hunt for the jacks to go on it that are not restored so I can have a then and now display

I am pretty sure it will like its new home. Did the former owner knew the value?

Fantastic grab, Don.

What day did you find this? I was up there at Hershey as well but I only go on setup day.

It wasn't terribly expensive. I was able to negotiate a fare price for it

It was about 10:30 on monday morning when I first spotted it and around 2pm when I went back and made the deal. It was in the Chocolate field

Thanks to bmwrd0, the loooong road to completing my top box is now complete. He was generous enough to send me the elusive missing drawer knob which now can be seen below in its forever home.

Some of you may remember what this box looked like when I dragged it home. It certainly could have been used for missile testing in the past but now it's complete and looks like a million bucks.

Congrats Horse!, I also saw where you came up with the chrome or stainless trips too. Weren't you missing those also?

You have to go a ways down the blackhawk rabbit hole before you start collecting them. 7/16 drive stuff is common by comparison.

Just got this at a local Restore.
It always amazes me where rare stuff turns up. The S stuff is really hard to come by these days. I have about a dozen or so random tools that came with other bulk buys. Hold on to that one if you're going to start abusing yourself with collecting them. It's a good start. lol

Thanks for the input, the horse13 - I'm not really a collector (I don't really have the space), though I do have a few favorites I don't want to part with. (I'm mostly a pliers/cutters guy.) I usually sell what I find. The treasure hunt is half the fun, the other half is getting old high-quality tools into the hand of folks who appreciate and/or use them.
