This one looks pretty good. Even had a piece of the original price tag on it. I think they are just painted black? Just going to leave it as found.
Got this from Texas today. Looks like a 20s set. Was surprised to find the decal in good shape.
Yes a good cleaning should spiff it up nicely

That Hazet set definitely earned the win. It was my favorite find of the 2018 Garage Sale thread. Some of us know this cabinet and acquisition well! It was a runner-up in the "Best Score" category for the 2018 Garage Sale thread end of year awards. It took a complete Hazet Tourist set to beat it out. You'd think with a 'Blackhawk man' as the judge that jv would've been a shoe-in, but those Hazet sets go for INSANE prices with old Porsche collectors! I had to go with the Hazet.EDIT: Link here for the honorable mentions, and here for the winner.
It was in a store that mainly sells vintage decorator pieces and almost no tools. It got moved to their storage building where they sell out estates. I was able to pick up about 20 boxes of tools and hardware, most of it NOS, at their last estate sale for $166 since it was stuff they didn't care about.Hazet stuff can be pricey! Great buy on the blackhawk jv. It amazes me how something like that sat in a store undetected for so long!

Well, another toolbox followed me home today. But... But... how could I leave it behind. Obviously, I couldn't!
It needs a bit of love, but overall it's solid and straight. A good place to start.

How the hell did I miss that!? Nice snag OTG.....That cleaned up nice. Here is a set I picked up on ebay for a wopping 25$.
Restore find Wednesday.
Blackhawk 40326 1/2 drive deep socket in 13/16. Date code of 1 and the chrome finish indicates 1941.
It was listed as a bcackhawk socket set. Seller misspelled listing.
Lol..........that would explain it..
Kinda like my snag of that complete set of 7/16" drive sockets/drive tools listed as 3/8" drive...........
Good catch!
Haha. Oh man, the sarcastic mind races with possibilities, all of them ban-worthy!"racist arm saw"
