JB is a special case. He has to get a visa at every state line.

You sure can, but I will need to get out of the states in a hurry at some point in the future and want to have the passport handy.Surely you can enter the rest of the USA without a Passport……
Or is there something you never told me?![]()
You weren't far off, at one time I may have had to get written approval to travel across state lines, but that is a story for another day.JB is a special case. He has to get a visa at every state line.![]()

I'm pretty happy about the flag pole, time will tell how well it handles the winds we get though I do have some hope. They sure were, and didn't really stink much, I really thought the mostly white one was, that would have been my pick.Pole position.
Just like that.
A pity about the little skunks……. They are cute.
I would have enjoyed having one as a pet, I hear they make great pets once de-scented.My dad's best friend had a skunk that was "de-scented" for a pet. It was funny seeing unknowing peoples' reactions to the little dude just wandering out.
I hear they are similar to catsI would have enjoyed having one as a pet, I hear they make great pets once de-scented.

Well if that is true I may want to clean it up and list it for sale, hot dang.

I'm sure you know by now I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I'm a glutton for punishment. And just like that, you are at START again.
It’s a nice score though.
Well I may have to see what it'll bring on the open market, it sure needs a lot of work though, it is NASTY right now. Those MOPAR guys spend silly money on stuff
But then again...all makes have their fan boys I guess!![]()
Thank you, it was too good to pass up, I need to throw some wheels on it that'll hold air and get it pulled around after cleaning it out some, did I mention it is NASTY.Nice score on the Super Bee.
Uncle Willie, I think you have me mistaken for someone with more money to burn. I'm thinking either 4cyl front wheel drive or maybe even EV swap from a Nissan Leaf.

II like the B&D. When I started off in construction (1974), the Drill Stands were known as "Old Mans". Presumably because only Old Men were unable to use the drill like a manly man.So I haven't said much for a few days but I have been working diligently like a little beaver.
First this followed me home from my parents house:

This was also my grandfathers, about all I know is he had it for years before he gave it to my father. I'd forgotten about it until I saw one similar on the "My Little Aussie Shed" thread I believe. That made me want to ask my father if I could borrow it for a while and do a restoration on it. I don't know how deep I'll go into getting it ready to rumble again but should be a good time killer.
This is the ID tag on the press portion: (Note that there is no serial number on the tag.)

The drill is an old Sioux 1/2" drive drill. I haven't had time to do much digging but know the press was made to attach to drills around this vintage so you could just have one drill and use it as a press as well.
I'm taking tomorrow off of work so I can work on some lighting.
I have this:
It is much better now, still no photos to share, but needs a bit more to be remotely considered clean.But.

We have all seen these things get resurrected by brave individuals or teams.
Well done on the cleanup.
I would be better off buying a restored one rather than trying to make this one a show car, it would also be less work, I do think I could have one bought and driving in under a week for certain. In fact according to the TV shows it will all be done in a week

I actually really like the patina of the painted areas of the car, now the rusted areas...not as big of a fan.that's patina
I did consider buffing the paint a bit and spraying a few coats of clear on it just to keep the patina it currently has, but that won't be anytime soon.JB, just wipe it down with some transmission fluid. Unless you were planning to buff it out.
I still have that drill press, the stand it restored and looks great, I had the drill pulled apart and started to polish it a bit, sadly the motor shop that helped to disassemble it is no longer in business so I'll have to figure out rebuilding it on my own if I ever get back to it...II like the B&D. When I started off in construction (1974), the Drill Stands were known as "Old Mans". Presumably because only Old Men were unable to use the drill like a manly man.
Even if it had a pair of LS6 heads in the trunk?Even if it was a 70' Chevelle 454SS.
Unlikely to get a Hemi, it is likely to be pasture art for a while for me, I have other things I need to finish first. Obviously I didn't make it up, it was so darn hot, by the time I tapped out in the afternoons I wanted nothing to do with getting outside of the house. The 4th was safe and enjoyable.no Hemi? hummmm. I could use that for some yard art. I have a place for it. Nice find anyway for sure. You gonna have time for a visit? have a safe 4th.
Likely more work than I will ever do, I do have ideas, but none of them are good ideas. There is a lot of work to be done!
I don't think I'll ever make this one look new or even mechanically sound, time will tell what it does though.Man that is a job for a young man or someone with money just burning holes in their pocket. I see the allure but I for sure we have had to pass that up. Even if it was a 70' Chevelle 454SS.

LS6 heads, I'd take a pair of those if you were tossing them out.Even if it had a pair of LS6 heads in the trunk?
The good news is I have the VIN and a title, I'll get it black tagged (registered with the state but not as a driver, so I don't have to keep insurance on it) today and should have a title in my name by the end of the week.I would have taken it too, everything is available to build that car from the ground up, except VIN and title. Someone will want it even if to put the tags on a future dynacorn shell
I didn't realize it was that easy in Kansas, Oklahoma is quite a bit tougher but still doable but usually takes about 3 months, I pretty much don't deal with vehicles without titles anymore, just too much work and risk. If the last registered owner was in Oklahoma and they want to reclaim the car all they have to do is say so and legally I'd have to give it back to them. I'm glad I have a title for this one though.Really scary easy to get a title in Kansas. Just get a friend write up a bill of sale. The Highway Patrol comes out and verifies the VIN, fills out his form for title, and BAM, you have a title.
Luckily the skunks weren't that bad smelling, but it did startle me quite a bit for certain. I sure would have loved to be around for some of those days, I don't have many stories of fast cars from when I was younger, but am making up for lost time now.I about crapped myself when i saw the skunks. Wow. You are a brave man. One of my fondest memories as a kid was going to a local tire store, and there was a 66 Plymouth Satellite HEMI there. I'd never seen one, and was asking lots of questions. We left just before that guy did, he was behind us on the road home. Then suddenly, there was a loud roar, and he was in front of us, like a blur. I was always impressed by those things. It's too bad the sheet metal on vintage mopars is so bad.
