I am reconfiguring my Quincy, and want to know how to add a thermal overload to my magnetic starter.
Currently the thermal overload is on the motor itself, but I want to remove and put it in the starter box.
Why? Because the starter currently has the reset button doing nothing and it bothers me.
While we are here we may as well double check my breaker sizing. I'm using a 50 amp, it's about 40-50 feet away from my compressor.
