Think I may **** - Gedore

Was browsing the local used tool classifieds here in Kanada and spotted this Gedore kit with a bunch of other stuff.

1/2" drive SAE set, that is almost complete. Missing the 9/16-1/2" doubled ended wrench (These are thin profile), and the smaller ring wrench has been replaced with a USA Industro.

These look to be the South African manufactured variety. Every tool is cast with "SF" on it, as well as stamped "AF".

A little dirt on them, but otherwise perfect shape. The 72 tooth ratchet feels great.

Anyhow, the guy wanted $30 Canuck for them and I didn't haggle.

Is the term Canuck also interchangeable for the Canadian dollar? Is it actually considered offensive in this context or any at all?

Does "****" mean something different in Canada than meanings in the US?

Guess I'm confused. I don't have any Gedore tools, nor have i used them. No metric and missing one of the most used size wrench in the set. What would someone reasonably expect to pay for that set?
Is it collector value or are they that good?

Would anyone have even mentioned suckage if the OP hadn't?

At one time it was slightly offensive due to the context and tone of the person uttering the term but not any more. It's kind of whimsical today.

Gedore are nice tools specially the older stuff. Those boxes used to have metal innards too, they switched to plastic somewhere around the 70's or 80's I think. My 3/4" set has metal innards with no plastic. I had a 1/2" metric set in an all metal box and I sold it for $300. (I miss that set but needed the cash at the time)

I definitely would have awarded a big YOU **** for this deal. I hate jptbay now for having this set and for $30!
