Funny, I've been spending money, but SAVING tons of it too.
I go to estate sales now, pretty much every week, and usually spend on tools. But I've been getting great quality HOUSEHOLD stuff for pennies, and that is making my wife happy. (Kid stuff too. That stuff is EXPENSIVE. If you think tools cost a lot, start having kids

)
I've also had good luck SELLING a bunch of stuff I've bought at the sales.
Pawn shops too. I hadn't been in one more than once or twice before finding GJ. Now I stop in whenever I have the time and I pass a likely suspect. I've been getting great stuff too.
The best way this site has saved me money is from the good advice members have shared. Picking up a classic tool addiction was well worth it when put against all the money I've saved by being able to fix things, and keep things from breaking.
And the biggest benefit-- the slow process of cleaning out my garage and shop. That was completely motivated by several of the build logs on here. (thank you Bill for sharing your journey.)
So don't sweat your new found addiction, just find ways to make it pay! (and keep track of all you save BECAUSE you have the tools.)
Welcome aboard! (one of us, one of us, one of us.....)
