Why did you order doubles?
Doubles, well in my ultimate world I would have a ratchet already mounted to each socket so that I would never have to swap out sockets, but by having more than one I can get a job done faster. Most jobs have between 2 to 5 different sizes, so by setting up the tooling in advance, I can attack the job with minimum time loss.
By the way on lunch I went to Sears and bought 9 more ratchets

and they also had a 3/8" drive set in a case that has the regular chrome ratchet, stubby, extensions, METRIC shallow and deep and SAE shallow and deep for $54, I couldn't even buy the socket and one ratchet at harbor freight for that price. So it will be going into my car's trunk as part of it's tool kit.
I think there is a whole secondary market in making custom fit toolboxes for cars, kind of how Weathertech does the mats for a car, well someone like Snap On should do it.
