In your opinion, would this be a good starter box? I'm really looking to get something like this and not have to worry about this type of purchase ever again. Filling it up would be another story...

My space is limited so I like the measurements.

What $$$ should I offer?
Thanks for all the great info.

Which is it? You say you want a starter box then in the next sentence say you want it to be the last box you ever buy.

would it be a good starter box? Undoubtedly. Will it be adequate for anything you might ever need? That's a question that only you can answer...

However, the fact that he's hawking it as being brand-new in the boxes doesn't make me believe that it's going to be a bargain. If you're truly looking for a starter box, you might want to find something that's likely to be a better deal.

Start at about half of MSRP. (Boxes don't hold their value.) I bet this was from the student discount pgm.

i love guys that won't tell you what they want for something, just how much it's worth "new" :wtf:
i'd offer 1/2 and hope he's insulted...then go find a good condition used box.

good luck

I have the exact same box it is ok the drawers aren't has useable as a krl. I would not spend more then 1k on that box. For anymore money I'd be looking at a used KRL

New in the box is still used if sitting in somebody's garage. I'd off what ever a new craftsman 40" griplatch combo is selling for. Those are nice boxes, I had the exact combo 10 years ago, wish I could had curved my tool buying and stayed in it vs spending the money on a new KRL.

I have seen KR1000 boxes for less then 2K, if you buy a kr1000 then you will probably get it for like $1400 and the rest could be for tools. it would double as a big work surface too

I see that he's charging tax so you may be dealing with a business vs. an individual. He also states he's open to a cash offer (no tax?).

I'd tell him you'd buy it if it wasn't for the "ugly" graphics whether or not you think they are and offer him less becuase of them. (... do they come off easily?)
