Tonight I was out with a buddy. We stopped by a friend of his, that I've met before, as we drove by and saw his garage lights on. He was changing A-arm bushings on a truck.
He had the neatest store-bought "hack" tool I've ever seen!!
It worked perfect for the 1 bushing I saw him install.
A Tiger Tool C-frame press that used sockets (1/4, 3/8, & 1/2 drive) as the press adapters. I've been around, seen, and used many tools but I've never seen such a thing!
I'd bet we've all used a socket in a manner like this although it obviously not a recommended way of using a socket, and this type of use will probably lead to bad things happening to the socket.
Anybody here have or used one of these?
I thought it was pretty neat.
