I have both the TLL72 and FLL80. I use them for leverage too. They can take it. When you need a lot of leverage in a small space they work great. The FLL80 has made my shorter 1/2" ratchet largely redundant.

View media item 37817Thank god when I went on the SO truck to buy the TLL72 he had the even newer TRLL72 "EXTRA LONG 1/4IN QUICK RELEASE" version on his truck. I've always hated how sealed head SO ratchets never want to let go of a socket when I go to change socket sizes.

Here's a post of mine comparing/measuring the differences of the SO TRLL72 to it's competitor the Gearwrench 120xp.

It's a ghost on SO's store page

I just bought one about a month ago. It came in a promo set with a six or seven piece extension set and metric semi-deep sockets. It was a pretty good deal so I bought it.

My absolute favorite ratchet has been my 1/4" Matco 88 tooth ratchet. However, probably due to the amount of use and abuse I give it mine has failed on me numerous times. Coupled with that our shop Matco dealer has become very unreliable about stopping by. Last time it broke it sat for 6 weeks before he came by and fixed it. So I decided to replace all of my Matco stuff with Snap On.

I initially wasn't sure how much I would use it because of the extra long handle. However, it was such a good deal I figured I could cut the handle down to a reasonable length if needed. So far I have used it not as much as I hoped but it is nice for hard to get at applications. I'm going to keep it as-is.
