Just to touch on Matco, we had a dealer stop by sometime during the spring. He showed up twice, sold about $300 of stuff and then never showed up again. Word was he wasn't making enough money with us. One would think he would at least come back to collect payments. He still stops at the Honda/Harley dealer 1/2 mile up the road thoughMatco already offers a 15 inch long 88 tooth ratchet.
If the Tll72 ever comes in a Quick-release I would probably buy it. Been converting my non QR ratchets to QR as they come out. Now I'm just waiting on the stamps

SO is now showing the TLL72 on the website--no pic just a blue ?--but when you add it to your cart it shows "0" in stock. They must be ready to roll it out cuz a week ago it didn't go to a web page when you searched for the item #. Another member showed a pic on the show your new tool arrivals thread.

I love my Matco AFR8TM (came with 60teeth) but I had my dealer put the 88 teeth kit in it. The new model they have is AFR88T which comes from the factory with 88 teeth.

Picked mine up today and liked seeing the USA stamp on the handle. Nice little ratchet but I might put the guts from an FC72 in it to make a long 3/8" drive for the tight spots.

I got mine today. Nice to see they finally got their balls out of their ol' lady's purse and put USA back on it. 
I primarily work in 1/4 drive. TL72 is the best I've been able to get my hands on. Yes the matco is a little thinner and I have one of those too. Trouble with the matco is the mechanism isn't near as tough as the snappy. I've had my jam a couple of different times.
I don't have a matco dealer in the area. Matco's solution is for me to mail them the ratchet and they will repair it.
I can also buy repair kits for $15 or so plus shipping.
I like the matco's slimmer design but I'm afraid to use the thing. It for dang sure can't take the torque the dual 80 technology can.
I've also played with matco's "gearless" ratchet. Snap on was better AND tougher than that one too. Mac at least had the decency to mail me a repair kit when the ratchet busted. Snap on was smoother and took less effort to heal also had a smaller head.
The snappy gets REAL nice after you get it good and broke in. After about a year those teeth get worn a little and you want to talk about smooth. Also I have 105 lubriplate in my ratchets not the snap on super fluid. It makes them waterproof and work smoother.

You'll also need the cover plate in 3/8" as well.
Good luck putting it together, the tiny little pieces in the mechanism are a PITA if you don't have the plastic bits that come with the 1/4" repair kits-or rather, that the 1/4" repair kits are packaged in.

Well, it's a real ratchet with a real handle, but it is just a TLL72 adapted to accept a hard-handle. My FHLLD72 (FLL72 + handle) is up next....

Sales of 1/4" drive sockets must be slow. Why else would you need a 9" handle on a 1/4" ratchet other than to make it easier to break sockets ? What's next a 1/2" to 1/4" impact adaptor.....
Did you have to turn the ratchet down on a lathe in order to accept the green handle? How did you attach it?

The ratchet was turned down to ~5/16" dia. This closely matched the hole in the green handle and allowed for a press fit for handle retention.

I use mine often. Think reach not leverage. Front wheel drive waterpumps, timing belts, covers, heat shields.
I also have the super long 3/8 drive ratchet. I like it also.
Obviously some common sense is required on where to use it.
