No toilet is complete without a Bidet seat, so you need an outlet by the toilet. Get a Toto. Should your wife question this choice tell her your comfot in the shop is as important as hers in the house. This can lead to rewarding discussion.

How the heck do you sit on that?If you are "on acreage" how far will the toilet be from getting waste to the main drain line? You can pick up older, used, large-tank toilets that still have the high flow set-up. Check out a resale shop where they salvage items from demolished homes.
I have a very old toilet in my garage bathroom and it has the large water tank. It makes the toilet look small.
I put a tall & elongated toilet in my 2nd floor 1/2 bath. It's got the 1.6 gal. tank I believe. If I'm having a sitdown on it I run the water on the sink to help it flush out since it has a way to go. I love the elongated and taller features. You'll never regret it.

Fair chance any replacement toilet here will be a Toto with bidet.
They are pretty nice and you can claim you did it for her.

Agreed, have them thanks to the previous owner and they are really good, much better than the builder grade toilets I've had in other houses. At first I thought the internals were over engineering at its finest but I've grown to like them. Also I love how easy they are to get parts for and service. The model info is in the tank and you can get quality parts at slightly more than generic toilet parts. Only con is wow are they loud when they flush.

I just finished building my house and I went with all American Standard Champion 4 toilets...chair height, elongated. So far, I like them. They are highly rated and it's a long-running model line for AS so parts should be available for years and years. I do like the chair height and elongated bowls.
Yes, and they have air driers too.

Between the house, lake house and office building we have a bunch of American Standard Champion. They aren’t American nor are they standard. Has some unique parts that aren’t quite universal. Having said that they have been relatively maintenance free but when they do **** out parts aren’t available locally.

I think you misspelled “hair” dryer.
I have the same one, it's a winner for sure.Just put one of these in my garage and like it. Skirted so it's easy to clean and I like the ReadyLock system that sets and secures the wax ring, making it easy to drop the toiler and tighten.

The choices given here are good ones. Buying an American Standard Cadet will make sit-down performances just what they should be: comfortable, ease of arriving/departing of both you and your deposit, reliable like a hammer, and cost-effective as a Scotsman at a clearance counter.
Something not mentioned is the difference in the setback measurement for mounting the toilet. When inches count, that specification can be the difference between ease of installation and frustration over getting it done.
I agree with the higher seat being better.
In one en suite bedroom, we have a TOTO Neorest. Not in this case of yours for the workspace is that going to be a cost-effective solution, but at a kitchen and bath store, it only took me one sit-down performance to recommend to my spouse that we should buy/use this. After her own trial of the benefits of a TOTO Neorest, she agreed, and we are pleased every time the TOTO does its thing to ensure colon and bladder health.
I'd say the TOTO is the Gort of the toilet world.

Toto Drake II is what I replaced all my toilets with, came highly recommended here. I can say not had to use a plunger since I swapped them out.
In the Consumer Reports test, the $159 Home Depot Glacier Bay N2450 was the fourth rated at 77 points; 81 was the max score achieved of any brand. The bargain ~$94 Glacier Bay N2428RB or RDF at 72 points. Toto Drake 72 points.
Edit- another lower cost excellent performer was the $138 American Standard Edgemere 74 points.
