Trying to pare down a bit but having a hard time deciding. Six or seven are Chinese and will soon be scrap but the rest are US made and I can't decide.

That looks like the perfect amount of screwdrivers to me. I keep a full set in the kitchen catch all drawer, a set in the toolbox in the car trunk, a set in my garage tool box, a complete set in the shed.

I wouldn't get rid of them. I'd even keep the Chinese ones to toss in a kitchen drawer.

My main set is Vaco USA made, but I also have some USA made Craftsman and vintage Powr-Kraft. But I also have some Great Neck and HF Pro ones.

Oh and I started collecting the vintage Stanley 100 Plus line. I love these things. I buy them for like 25 cents at yard sales.

You cant have to many screwdrivers, put the duplicates away somewhere and when the main ones wear out you have replacements.

Where are the rest of the pictures? I figure you must have another 5 or so pictures of all your screwdrivers, not just the ones in the first picture.

Move the less used drivers into a roadside automotive tool kit. You could also keep a personal tool box at work or in your home or work office desk drawer.

I mean, if I had to choose, I'd toss the clear handled Craftsman's. Maybe save the larger flat heads. With that said, I never throw anything away. I have an entire drawer filled with old screwdrivers that I never use, but still won't toss them.

I felt that I had too many screwdrivers also, When my drawer on my tool box was full, But it seams like I have lost a bunch now I some times have a hard time finding the style and size I am looking for.

That just looks like the ones i use..less than 1/4 of what i own.
About 12 years ago i won an ebay auction for 56lbs (yes 56 lbs) of broken craftsman screwdrivers. Im only about 1/2 though the bin on returning for new. None of my family had bought screw drivers in many years.

That is not too many screwdrivers. There are many styles and sizes I don't see even. You need more screwdrivers.:willy_nil

You knew this thread would go this way didn't you? Now you can go out and buy more screwdrivers because we said so.

I have a box of spares with more drivers than that. I bought my wife a small set of CM (Western Forge) screwdrivers.

She still uses a butter knife......Go figure

I could drop two dozen down a well tonight and not hurt my kits.

And I sold off dozens of a collection recently.

Just one of those things so common that its not hard to have too many to wear out in a lifetime.

The Chinese ones are useful too. They are good for making oversized picks and hooks out of.

I have a couple dozen cheap screwdrivers that I keep separate from my working set. Whenever I need to "make" a special tool, I use one of those screwdrivers, if I can. They are also great when you need a special size or shape pry bar, too. Bend and/or grind to shape as needed, no worries about cost. I get them super cheap at garage sales and flea markets, usually with a damaged/worn out tip. I hammer on the plastic handles, too, you would be amazed how much abuse they can take. Git-R-Done and move on.

I would toss the Chinese drivers A.S.A.P

The real danger is you might actually use them only to discover they are equally useful as you favorite brand that costs 20x more.

Trust me - it's awful experience.

Just bought two of the 89 pc. sets from Jegs to add to the dozens I've accumulated over 50 years. made up three racks from drilled 1 x 10 boards and placed them in my work areas. One for the cars....one for the tractors and finally one for the general repair area.
I don't have to walk far now.

My screwdriver drawer at the shop and home are full so I see where the op is coming from. My favorites are on the pegboard at home and shop. One day I may thin the herd but it will not be wholesale carnage.

Since I buy a lot of used tools, I have been keeping the oddball snap on with yellow clear handles and any other snappy with a handle that may have plier marks or otherwise not be easily sellable to upgrade my collection. Also often keep Witte's that are branded Cornwell and Matco.
