Placing an order for 72 toolbox soon..
I wasn't sure to get blue, orange or lime green..
I will probably be there looking at it for the next decades, for some reason I am interested in the lime green. And probably least interest in orange.
The walls right now is a putty grey.

Help me spend my money :lol_hitti

I'd go with a black one...and then Vinyl Wrap it to whatever color is the "IN thing" today...mine is currently sporting a Lime Green Front...I could make it red/blue/pink/whatever for about 30 bucks and 2 hours of time.

Red is a safe bet...

Lime green is the hot thing right now, but that won't last forever. I know several people who are already sick of it. I prefer to be practical about it. Colors that age well, clean easy. Look clean longer, etc. I think blue, gray, red, etc. hold their value longer and are fairly low maintenance. Think about what a color will look like when it's as old as your grandpa's or dad's box.

Lime green all the way... The louder the better in my opinion

Problem is...longevity.
If your buying a HF44"...sure, fad colors are cool...but on something that will last a while...

I just see flashbacks of Harvest Gold Appliances, Dark Brown Stained Wood Trim, Etc...
The people who got the Harvest gold Stove & Fridge were definitely celebrating the 76 bi-centennial year in style, but by the 80's and beyond...well...no explanation needed. All kinds of Fad colors have come & gone. Extreme Green is cool right now, but will it be in 20 years?

Blue is a pretty cold colour, and a blue box with grey walls is a pretty cold and inviting combination. Where you are, you may like the idea of cold, but I'd avoid!

Traditionally, blue is a cheap colour. Think of blue overalls or denim jeans! Cheap crappy tools come in dark blue boxes!

Orange is better, but sort of says ' I can't afford red'! Think of Beta toolboxes!

Green - much better! One of my favourites, but what about red! Red says precision. The best tools have always come in red boxes!

I'd go black or red myself. As mentioned earlier you could easily do a vinyl wrap on it to change up the style. In some ways that might even offer some protection too. But it's your money for your box, get if you like green or blue, go for it.

My boxes are white, but out of the colors you mentioned I'd go with orange. Guy at work has a SO orange and man that thing looks good. Jumps out at you. Good luck, tough decision lol.

Tool boxes are red says the guy with a black one.

i'm in the red crowd,
but i do have a set in cranberry with polished trim....

but i think if i ever decided to dump all my boxes and buy a super-duper, fancy, triple or quad bank, ( not gonna happen) it with be orange with black trim.

I couldnt make up my mind for the life of me so the Ex fiancee picked blue. I asked her why she said she liked that color the best plus it matches your (mine) race car. So I went with it. After she left (in case you missed the "ex" part) I wish I had gotten the lime green. I liked it better tbh. The blue is very blah.

You say the wall is grey either lime green or orange would look good on a gray wall. I am sort of partial to orange. I have a purple matco box that I have had for years. I would trade it in for an orange one in a minute. The orange just seems to hold there look better than green.

I'd say white. But if you want a blue one this is the nicest blue I have ever seen.

If what matters is the next few years, I would go with lime green - I love that color right now. But if what matters is the next ten years, I might back off and go with blue or red.

I am facing this dilemma on a 1955 SO box (hand held) that I am restoring right now. While originally red, over the years owners painted it white, and green, and finally blue.

I've already bought the lime green paint, but am rethinking it. Of course, it is much easier for me to put a new color on this little box in a couple of years, but I feel for you!

Coming from a guy that owns, White, Blue, Candy Apple, Traditional Red and Black Snap-on tool cabs/carts, a Pink Cornwell and a Yellow Rat Fink Matco box, I would go with the Orange. I like color!

I like the idea of the black box and vinyl wrap. Never even thought about that idea before.

Before...After...

And yes, the vinyl does add a great "layer" of scratch & scuff protection.

If next week bright blue is what I'm feeling...would take me longer to order & wait for the vinyl to arrive then to do it.

Black will be my first choice, because it will match anything and its timeless, orange would be next because you want it to be stunning and bold.
