I had a bunch of leftover ~1/2" strips of cherry left over from redoing the kitchen. Cut them a touch long and wedge them into the drawers as dividers to create individual spaces. Works great for the drawers that always have stuff rolling around and ending up into one big mess (junk drawers, pliers, screwdrivers etc)

Free and easy to do.

I’m using the Lisle plier organizers in my tool boxes.

I use the ernst socket rails as well. Made a custom holder for my screwdriver drawer out of t shape extruded aluminum. Cut notches into it for "most" of my handled tools.8cf470299272977e0df81e7499d58af0.jpgc98a64dec0a93ce61f4a82d1c5d978e5.jpg5d404cfaf58093091e0e036b123e3cea.jpg

I am using VIM Magrails in my Vidmar box to organize my sockets. They are the most customizable and lowest profile solution out there as far as I know. They are pricey though. Pliers are organized with a typical wire organizer cut to fit the drawer. Wrenches use the plastic wrench rails off the Snap-on truck, also very customizable this way. The dividers of Vidmar/Lista cabinets are invaluable for organization. All of the drawers in my wall of Vidmar cabinets are lined with thin rubber back rug runner carpet sold by the foot at many home improvement stores. The carpet has ridges running perpendicular to the direction of the in and out motion of the drawer, so it helps tools stay in place. It also provides a safe surface so as not to damage your tools from storage, and it will absorb oils such as Starrett M1 oil which I have applied to protect my tools from corrosion. All of this while being only approximately .125" thick, so it doesn't take away much drawer height and the magnetic socket rails can still effectively hold on to the steel drawer below.

I use mostly Snap-on KRA15, with a few Protoco racks mixed in, for wrenches. I don't like Ernst wrench racks. They are bulky and inefficient.

I'm still using old school clip on rails for sockets. Nothing else is more space efficient.

My plier drawers are a mess. I really need to organize them. The Ernst plier racks look like a good product.

I've never seen a need to use any organizational aids for screwdrivers. I just line 'em up in the drawer.

I keep my most used 1/4" hex bits in an Ernst bit organizer. My less used and spare bits are in an Ascend Tools Organizer Genie.

Small tools and stuff go in Lista bins. Schaller bins work just as well.

I made my own organizers for some stuff like die grinder burrs, router bits, gear puller parts, etc. It's amazing how many tools can be organized with some blocks of wood or UHMW and a drill.

My 1/2" drive impact sockets are on HF rails - the $.99 cheapos - cut to fit in a small Tractor supply toolbox. Just enough room for Metric and American in deep and shallow with a couple extensions and an old N.B. ratchet thrown in.
That lives in one of the drawers with the other "Kitted" tools.
Loose wrenches live in plastic trays similar to what Designer 485 showed above. They were probably supposed to be desk drawer organizers. Salvaged from a job cleaning out office furniture about 30 years ago.
Screwdrivers have a little rack made of wire I bent in a brake. I think it was a guard over a duct originally.
Most of the other sockets are on Hansen-type trays with the pegs clipped down. Didn't like the pegs sticking out the tops or the sizes printed on them. Sidejaw cutters for the win. Now there are no skipped pegs and OCD issues.

My favorite organizer is actually the 3 compartment tray from Ernst, I have 5 of them now. Second would be various size bins from Schaller Corp followed closely by the pliers racks from Ernst. I also recently used an Ernst socket rail to organize some wrenches working better than anything designed specifically for wrenches.

Does anyone know what brand these wrenches are? I love the BE offset.

Ernst user here. It's pretty good value and nicely modular in case you reorganize later.

I particularly like the gripper organizers because I work away from my tool chest a lot. That lets me quickly reach in and grab a tray to take with me. Not everyone needs that though.
