I have a friend who is a self employed carpenter he uses cardboard boxes and plastic paint pails in his Durango. He chucks everything in and drives to the next job, pulls out what he needs and repeats the performance at the end of the job. He does not believe in wasting money on tool boxes or any tool that is not absolutely necessary. He build amazing kitchen cabinets from scratch, frames and trims houses with no more than $2000 worth of tools. His approach is if he can't get it at the place he buys his material or Canadian Tire then he doesn't need it.
Mind you his skill level is amazing.
