This, and as someone previously mentioned, being flexible helped. He basically did this as a filler for his afternoon.Glad you found someone to accomodate. It helps when they are already in the neighborhood working.
Whatever he charged you is better than trying to climb yourself or maneuver a pole saw overhead that was,.... how long did it need to be?
I'm not too old, but I lost interest in heights in my 20's due to vertigo, climbing myself was out. I figured the tree was 70' or so, so a 30' pole saw and me working from the tractor would have been just enough to get the horizontal limbs. Maybe.
I'm going to measure it when I cleanup to see if my height estimate was correct.
