I was just curious as to what everyone's favorite aerosol shop lubricant is.
Of everything i've tried (i.e. Wd-40, Liquid Wrench, Zep 45, Royal Purple Max-Film, Tri-Flow), i like Pro-Long SPL 100 the best.

We have used Twister, Myers Penetrating Lubricant, WD-40, P.B. B'laster (my favorite) and a slew of others.

Wurth hhs-2000 or Boeshield.

He asked about lubricants. Everyone is listing penetrants.

For that I have liquid wrench and Rost Off. Very seldom need it though.

I've had success getting frozen/rusted nuts and bolts apart with Kroil. WD-40 and Liquid Wrench, are good for the light stuff like a squeaky hinge.

Fluid Film is by far the best there is, its Food grade, organic and soaks into metal to prevent rusting aswell as releasing it. It works awsome to spray under the decks of lawn mowers to prevent grass from sticking and rusting and on snow plow blades to keep snow from sticking while plowing

Kroil smells the best by far.

Edit: and I would like to nominate this post for the most ********** title of the year

I use Liquid wrench mostly these days primarily due to cost/loss or damaged cans. I really liked Kroil but they messed with the can, for me I like to squeeze a bit out, don't want a gusher and the old cans used to work to the last drop but last few I bought the can failed before the product was used. Liq Wrench about 2.25 a can, bought some PB for 3 the other day and some stuff at ag store called super penetrating oil that worked well. I use a fair amount, back in the day used bulk but thats messy anymore, use maybe 30 cans a year. We spray almost every bolt we install.

Some guys mentioned they liked the smell of some lubricants . . . although it's not an aerosol, I use Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant on bicycle cables and other things. It smells like bananas. :)

It is the best for bicycle brake and shifter cables.

ty25733.jpg

Super Lube Multipurpose Synthetic Lubricant (TY25733)Super Lube is a patented, multi-purpose synthetic lubricant with Teflon® that out-performs petroleum-based lubricants. The Teflon particles in Super Lube fill surface irregularities by compacting like snowflakes in a snowball to form a smooth lubricated surface. Machinery and equipment are protected from wear and corrosion. Maintenance and service requirements are reduced.

Features and benefits
· Waterproof and not washed away by acids or alkalis

· More product at a competitive retail price

· Lasts four times longer than petroleum-based lubricants

· Cleans and penetrates – then evaporates, leaving a non-toxic, long-lasting film of lubricant

· Does not melt, wash out, dry out, separate, or attract dust; resists temperatures up to 750 degrees F (399 degrees)

· Does not harm the soil, turf, hay, or animals with incidental contact

· Contains no CFLs or chlorinated solvents to deplete ozone

· Synthetic with Syncolon PTFE – bonds to surface to add lubricity to moving parts

ApplicationsUse on machinery and equipment including:

· Bearings

· Cables

· Pumps

· Locks
· Gears

· Conveyors

· Valves

· Linkages

wait, what's better PBlaster or Kroil? Or are they the same.

I've never had much luck with PB Blaster
