There was an interesting thread on here a while ago where the guy used a tee shirt and spray foam, build a kit that is flexible for various needs. I've been thinking I might try the spray foam but use some carbon fiber for a cool look but then again I have access to scraps.

Look how many wrenches in that drawer. If I want metric and SAE in the same drawer, I can, or different drawers no problem. If my set skips a wrench, or goes higher or lower than 18, I am OK.

You can never please everyone, but the key is to please the most with the least. Your wrench tray is tailor made for............you!

Welcome to the party. It's too bad that you showed up way too late, after he edited the first post to stop pretending that he was just a guy.

His post before he edited it was basically "Hey, look at these awesome organizers I found on Amazon. Would you guys buy these?"

If you go back to his only other post on this forum a couple months ago, you get this:

That's his other example of "Oh, wow. I looooove this socket organizer I got. Go look at their (as in...not "my") website and give them money!"

This is clearly a manufacturer who went about trying to increase his online presence the dishonest way. He could have built up a lot of goodwill if he'd come on before they made the horrible designs and been honest. He should have just showed up, said "I want to make toolbox organizers. What do you guys want them to do that other manufacturers aren't giving you?"

And :+1:

Don't let these guys discourage you. Your ideas are headed in the right direction. You just need to refine them. I think in the end, we all want our tools somewhat organized. But the method of organization must use limited space very efficiently.

I have the SortATool holder for combination wrenches and really like it. I use the metric very infrequently, but I can fine the wrenches quickly and as another poster pointed out, you can quickly see what is missing!

I use this for all my sockets and put the combo wrench SortATool in the bottom drawer. I think I have a previous version of this storage box that seems to hold the sockets a little better.

I like it. I can carry all my sockets and combo wrenches in one box that isn't too heavy to lift. (I do have the larger sockets, 3/4" driver breaker bar, and large "chassis" combo wrenches in another tool box, but don't use them often.)

I wish that I could find a similar plastic box for screw drivers, nut drivers, allen wrenches, pliers, and maybe smaller hammers.

This is a very popular thread:

You might get some ideas from what this guy does.

One of the issues I could see with your tool organizers is using "all" of the space in a drawer. But I would guess that there probably aren't "standard" sizes of tool box drawers.

Keep plugging away. You'll build a better mousetrap.

I like the fact that someone is trying to build a better mousetrap.

That is the way things get better

He came here marketing, not just say ooooh look what I just found.

I think you have a great product for guys that shop for most of their tools at Lowes. That would be a good target audience.
I have been a toolworld manager at Lowes for 5+ years. They like the gimmicky type stuff. It sells and has great margin

It is too restrictive for my needs

I agree, the socket organizer is for guys who don't know by looking at a bolt what size it is

The wrench organizer I don't like because it mixes metric and standard.

Best of luck to you

That is my ideal setup also, until I need bigger wrenches then I have another way but it's not as good in the 'quick n easy' sense

Am I on a site with a bunch of morons? How is this UNCLEAR to at least 3 people in this post? "We are..." Do you just post before you read or do you not understand English?

As for the organizers, I am your average joe. I think they are great. I don't have a ton of tools. I like the organizers BC if I leave a tool lying around I can see it's missing. I have the craftsman ones now and don't like how the socket has to sit in the hole cut for OD.

Thanks for asking us our real market opinion, obviously there are some high school drop outs here that cannot read the FULL DISCLOSURE you made in your introduction and VERY FIRST sentence.

Please don't let the keyboard ninjas deter you for bringing cool ideas to the forum and asking for ideas.

Attention: morons, read the entire initial post and then reread it before you decide your "IMHO" lashes out and just ruins the read of the entire thread. Further, I believe he asked for input on the design...not if you personally felt compelled to buy them. As a business owner myself, I think how most of you responded is a poor example of the camaraderie that we all feel when we join a site. Try talking to people rather than down to them with your elite knowledge that your so much smarter than everyone!

Rant over...

Nice organizers, I think I might buy the wrench and sockets for sae and mm.

Sent from my bag phone...

:headshake

i'm so glad you're here to set us all straight.....

:wtf:
