I'm sorry, but as a somewhat novice to vintage tools I've got to ask a lot of questions. I grew up in my grandpa's garage which are my best memories. Now I'm trying to recreate that in my own garage for my kids. I go to sales trying to find vintage things and oddities etc and need info when I don't know what it is. Not as bad idea though to have an ongoing thread.EK: you should just have one ongoing thread maybe titled EK's new finds or WTF tools or i'm sure you can think of a name to title it. instead of all these little threads. I'm probably going to do the same because i every time i buy tools i pick up something that i don't have a clue what it was made or how to use it.
i'll guess Dunlap for your box. not overly well built but better than the small metal or plastic boxes that are for sale today.
