But he shouldn´t use them because the printing will wear off :)

Really?

interesting hardware store with toys and baseball gloves !? :)

Yeah hardware shops here carry an assortment of stuff. :)

some window shopping:

Proxxon, Metabo, Fein...

...Stihl, Makita, Dewalt, Dremel...

...Fenix, KS-Tools, Litexpress...

...Rothenberger, VEAB, Puma, Leatherman.

Good price on the proxxon rotary tool. :)

Speaking of Makita I noticed quite a few tools at Home Despot that were made by Makita are assembled in USA I wonder if they have broght production back here or they had a warehouse full of NOS.

I'm suprised to see Fenix lights for sale in a shop, I remember those used to be all the rage when I was on CPF a few years ago.

Leatherman prices are high. :shocking: I paid $20 for mine...

Everyone uses Leatherman :D

I just got one on black friday. It will replace my Victorinox after Christmas.

AL, I have the Wingman, Super Tool 300, and a couple of their pocket knives.
I prefer the Super Tool 300 but it's rather heavy to carry every day. I got the Wingman last month and I carry it all the time now!

maybe cheaper to produce in the US instead of Japan or England etc. ? no import tax etc...
I'm suprised to see Fenix lights for sale in a shop, I remember those used to be all the rage when I was on CPF a few years ago.
i think they still are the rage ? :headscrat:)
Leatherman prices are high. :shocking: I paid $20 for mine...

I alternate between Swiss SAKs and multitools and American multitools. :) When Victorinox or Wenger comes out with something I just have to have I will replace the Wingman. I've done this for over a decade now. :)

lol

I had no knolage from that SKF lock nut tool, being made in Finland.

One of my car has these bearing loking nuts with loking sleeves in fron axels, I had to use two meter rod, heat and impact to get one opend, broke two sockets and third one was good after I cut locking sleeves out from nut.

Sounds like a test of your patience :D probably the SKF hook spanner wouldn't have helped much in that case even tho it was made in Finland!!

nice carbide tipped punches !

Yes they are really good, these are just spare but another set have been used for years, just got to love Gedore for the quality and finish, some might complain about finish but I find them very nice and the finish is very practical, their spanners for example have a grip which really works even tho full of oil and the quality is really something! can be used and abused for years, so far I haven't seen any tools that perform as good over years of hard use.

 Any COO on the impact driver ?

No there is no COO on the impact driver, is Wera manufacturing in Asia or just in several European countries?

:shocking: oops :D

Wow awesome find Monte. :) I consider Ridgid a local brand as its made over in Ohio and it gets a premium used at the pawn shop in town.

Ridgid stuff is made about 45 minutes away from me :)

Do they offer factory tours ? :)
What do you think is better ? Ridgid, Lenox or MK Morse ?

PARADISE !!! :bounce::bowdown::beer:
:) Hopefully the other paradise promised by the church looks like that too :D ;)

LOL that doesn´t count when you buy something at a junkyard store like this: :)

yeah their wrenches are pretty nice especially the No. 7 and 1B !
Need a set too.... :) The finish is OK i think..."German Style" ...could be better sometimes (on the box ends) but i also don´t want to pay Snap-On prices and the tools simply work.

Czech Republic and the machine tools in Germany --> www.wera-profilator.de

If theres no COO its safe to say its made in CZ. All my Wera is German made. :)

fixed it :)
Few years ago, importer of Uvex safety gear told me;
Uvex has refused to take factorys from Italy to China, as they like to keep brand all European, I wonder if this is still true?

i thought they´re from germany ?

edit: just found this "fact sheet" on their site.
http://www.uvex.de/fileadmin/redakteure/Holding/Presse/Daten_und_Fakten/2011/factsheet_safety_de.pdf
The "UVEX safety group" produces in 7 factories: in germany (3 factories), Italy, Slovenia, Sweden and USA with a total of 1130 employees.

I always buy their "Ultrasonic" goggles because i wear regular glasses and the goggles are pretty good.

Oh, I always tought it was Italian comppany, you learn something every day.

And not only if you use glasses, everyone should use similar eay protektion as partickles can by-bass regular ones. I have made custom to buy new eye protektion every new year, not the cheap ones but good quality ones.

Can't really say all are pretty good. I think Lenox and MK Morse both source some of their saws from the same place in the UK.

I remember reading Jesus was a carpenter so I'm sure it will be like the Woodcraft store here in almost heaven West Virginia. :) ;) :)

Not too sure as CZ stuff is marked.

Where can I buy one of those Wera Tool Calendars?
couldn´t find it in the US, your local Wera dealer might be able to order one for you, or:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/WERA-Weihnac...n_Heimwerker_Handwerkzeug&hash=item48430905c4

Do Rennsteig make their own stuff in Germany or do they farm it out? Their crimping tools are nice but I wonder if Knipex make them. Anyway...a few punches & chisels. :)
They make chisels + striking tools and they make the crimping tools for Knipex and themselves.
A while ago there was a video on the US Rennsteig site where they showed how they assembled the crimping tools.

You mean 2012 right? :D
no, it´s a 2011 "advent calendar" with 24 small doors for the 24 days in december until christmas. Behind every door usually there is a picture or chocolate but the Wera calendar has a tool behind every door.
Last years version looked like this:

I discovered recently that there are several potentially useful tools that are not listed in the US Wiha web site (wihatools.com), but are listed on the international websites (such as wiha.com/international). Jens (jensputzier) helped me to get some of these tools, as well as a few neat promo items I also discovered on the international site.

Here is the bounty: 2x bottle openers (one is a gift for a friend and fellow devoted Wiha user), letter opener, T-handle corkscrew (the classic for high torques), #1/#2 offset pozidriv, #3/#4 offset pozidriv, 12mm offset slotted, System 6/Drive-Loc VI blades: #2/#3 pozidriv, #3 phillips/6.5mm slotted, 4mm/6mm slotted, 8mm slotted. The Drive-Loc VI looks a bit goofy with that 8mm slotted in it, but it should be pretty useful to have that larger size in my Drive-Loc VI pouch.

Today I found some new old stock hazet combination and open-end wrenches. The seller told me that they are more than 10 years old. Both of them has the 2 level design.

I also found some facom No 44 made in france.

I didn't ask for the price though because I was afraid that I could not resist.

Sory no photo.
