Nice set!!!!

Another flea market find:
Gedore "1A" combination wrench:

Interesting design Monte

Another pics from my Toyo boxes restoration project :D

Mrtools, I really like the finish you achieve in the toolbox. I have to accept that at first did not believe that could rescue a tool box in that state. Excellent.

Some old world stuff from a friend's workshop.

¡Great Lok!

some free items from my sponsor

Very good sponsor

Me gusta el diseño en general Bhae, color llamativo y una distribución práctica de las gavetas (sin muchas divisiones, o gavetas en exceso)

I like the overall design Bhae, bright color and a practical breakdown of drawers

A couple of days I went to a hardware store and found some punches brand Bianditz (www.bianditz.es) I not had the opportunity to use them, but give the impression of being of good quality.

Moreover, by chance I found two wrenches (NOS) brands: IRIMO and ACESA, with some rust, but after treatment with WD40, the result is much better

Guys,
I'm looking for a set of fast action wrenches/spanners, on one side fast action open end with an offset ratchet ring/box-end on the other side.
Do any of the European tool brands offer such a spaner or do I have to get 2 tools in order to have this (fast action open end with normal ring + normal open end with racheting ring)?

Ask any Gedore Distributor If he has the old Gedore 7UR or try to find them online. They are not made in Germany but the quality are very good.

Recently saw a Yugoslavian screwdriver in a local secondhand toolshop but the end was too worn for me. Would of tempted if it had been OK.
Not sure about anyone else but I quite like seeing these older tools, makes the thread look a bit less like an Ebay shop.

If you find one of these old tools in good condition, buy without worry! Sure, mine aren't new or fancy, but kinda unique. ;)

Thanks for these exotic brands tool pics ! :pimpflash
Do you know other eastern european manufacturers which still are in business ?

Sorry, I don't know.:dunno:

Ok, now something from new era. Wiha 366BEH8 long torx wrenches with ball end. Not sure how much this manganese-phosphated finish will last, cause it's thin like it was anodized. But I'm really satisfied with performance, especially with ball end, comparing with my previous chinese screwdriver T25 that cracked on first use.
Classic holder is really handsome, easy to use, and it keeps wrenches well in place. Green button stand for Torx profile. Their Red button stand for hex wrenches. And Yellow stand for hex wrenches with inch sizes.

Wiha makes allot of stuff for wisant. I would not be surprise if they are rebranded wiha.

I agree with you, many tools that come from CHINA have improved now, although it is generally for prestige brands migrating their production to this country

And most of the really good brands if they've got a cheaper line or want to bail from, say Germany, partially or otherwise, will do Taiwan over China.

It's ball ended. Rarely to see on torx wrenches. Allows you fast initital tightening at an angle up to 25 degrees. ;)

Yes I know but their design is little strange.

Here is the Gedore and wera.

AMF pin spanner from Germany, and Hazet 24mm wrench turning a spline tool to remove cogs from a wheel.

Is it 600Nm sign, that wrench can withstand? Seems that's a lot of tightening force.:shocking: These are your Mavic wheels? :D

Man, I love bicycles too. Will post some tools for this job, soon.;)

Just a short post here while i sort out pics of the other stuff I've bought lately

I bought this Bahco mini hacksaw on eBay (was about £4 iirc) and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and i saw its made in Germany. was expecting it to have no COO or be made in Taiwan.

Not much else to say about it though :lol_hitti just a plain old style metal junior

Wikipedia says that the "Made in West(ern) Germany" was used since around 1973 to make sure that the customer knows from which Germany the product is because they couldn´t forbid East Germany to use the "Made in Germany" too.
For me it looks older, actually never saw one with a underline.

Germans are pervs:pimpflash

Looks good :D

Very nice job mrtools. I'm all  over those boxes.

Mr tools you are an artist! Congratulation. Awesome job. :)

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !!! :shocking::thumbup::beer::drool::pimpflash very good job !!

I spent a lot of my free time to restore those toolboxes..home made DIY restoration, a lot of work to do, with limited tools and skill I'm so tired.. but I think it worth.
btw: Thanks a lot for all compliment, you all inspired me to do the best!!

Thank you very much Mrtools. :)
You are welcome:beer:

GearWrench rebranded?

Thanks, mrtools! Here are a few tools I used yesterday for some work. I left them out on the bench, so that we can have a little peak! ;)
USAG 190mm pump pliers, 300mm measuring ruler, bolt extractors (I have seen in identical GREEN case from Kukko), AMF pin spanner from Germany, and Hazet 24mm wrench turning a spline tool to remove cogs from a wheel.

I am now legally blind, but with proper lighting, can still work pretty well. I have found that being deprived of sight heightens my tactile senses, and so I like the USAG tools because of their "feel" in the hands. Most of the USAG tools I have came from a shop in Como, Italia called ORLA. I will always remember giving them the list I had brought, and them handing me each tool as they went down the list, so that I could feel it in my hands.

I especially like the feel of USAG wrenches and ratchets. Solid but very light and almost effeminate feeling. But you will notice that I also have one Hazet wrench, which has a much different feel. Choosing between the two types is very difficult. It seems to depend on my mood. The Hazet wrench is like my best friend whereas the USAG is like a lover. ;) One needs both!
Thanks to share your personal opinion about Usag tools + Hazet wrench.. I'm very appreciate that..
It the normal habit when tools fan have more than one wrench!!! I really understand it:evil:
btw: thanks for the great pics:thumbup:

Speaking of broken Wera...

My 3/8" Zyklop skips :(

I tried to take it apart to clean and lube it, but can't seem to get the head open. Is there a trick to this or are they non-serviceable??? I guess I could always soak it in ATF, but I'd prefer a full cleaning and Permatex assembly lube...

Anybody know? Thanks a lot in advance.

Mrtools,

Not really sure if they are rebranded gearwrench. Never seen a 12 piece set from gearwrench in flex head. All the email thatbingotnback from lidl was that they are mad in Taiwan. Feel more like the proto offering then the gearwrench version.
