how good is this brand?? its big old tube cutter

Dako = very good

@Monte, next year me and my fiance are visiting Germany, it's my "homeland, but I haven't lived there since I was very very young, so I was wondering what are some tool store franchises in Germany that would be located all over the country, just like America's "Home Depot" and "Lowes". I don't really remember anything from there, because like I said, I was very young.

There is: Bauhaus, Praktiker, Max Bahr, Globus, Hornbach, Obi. Maybe more, but it depends where you go ?

my latest buy :)

Hazet 822 Scraper for removing underseal

@ Monte...the snap on ones i dont remember because i already have them from some time...but i remember that it was a good deal something around 20€ online...

The Beta Hex i pay 9,99 £ UK

cool thanks ! 20 bucks is a great price !

Very nice, thanks. One from each. Now you need a No2 and No4. :bounce:
Btw in the catalog of 2012 the 4R are new. :) Now we need them with also a swivel head. :D:)
Monte these flare nut are awesome! Aren't they?

yeah i know, No.2, No4, 2B, 304, 534, 7R, 7R XL, 7 R XS, 7 UR XL, 7 ..... :D ;)
those 4R are pretty cool huh ? makes sense to buy these instead of ratcheting combination wrenches maybe ??? ...2 sizes for the price of.....? 2 ?? or 1.5 ? :) ?
Maybe a flex/swivel head ratcheting wrench come in 2014 ? But i think their line up is pretty awesome right now, with a short and even long ratcheting wrench and now the 4R, i think its the biggest line up of ratcheting wrenches in Europe ? AND made in germany.....
Who nows if the customers buy plenty of these wrenches maybe they´ll make a flex head wrench in the future.... (and SAE....)
The new bolt cuter.
And a U2 in the gedore magic catalog.
The bolt cutter looks good, i wonder if its from Austria as well ? i hope :)
The new blue handles of the ratches looks nice too. My favoutrite colour :)

take a look - sorry Ive got bad lights here and I just shot it with the phone.

ahh nice thanks !
So the tool already comes with replacement blades ?

So I'm going to spam some more from the Bahco outlet store. :)

Went there again today. They're putting stuff in the store when they find it as they're clearing out the buildings. So there's lots of stuff that's been forgotten for many years. This time they had added a bunch of old 6000-series screwdrivers amongst other. I will try to post some pictures of what I got tomorrow.

One cool oddity that had been added was this:
IMG_1552.jpg

A salesmans demo box. A good price considering that you get two ratchets plus more. But I decided to spend my money on stuff I need more.

Another cool marketing item (that I did buy) was this letter opener. Made from a slotted screwdriver handle. 20:- SEK.

I have spent several months of tool budget there now. But I have also made some great deals.

Bought today. Proskit. Made in Taiwan. good quality
Nice:drool:

The tools are all made in Germany and I got the set on Ebay about 2-3 years ago for £25ish, which is around $40.
Woww!!! that a very good price for Germany Belzer:bowdown:
you are so lucky..congratulation

Of course not. ;)
I have the same problem. I try once to get some but all was very blurry. When I have time I'll try again.
But you make it better than me

No. Sadly no. The gedore catilever was too expensive.
(btw the gedore are the best catilever that I've ever seen) but is very decent and durable enough.
Yes!! I'm agree with you:)

This is one pastorino, probably from Taiwan. Once I had post some Photos. I repost them. More photos from the catilever when new tools will arrive.
It's not bad at all. It's not a gedore Also it was in a very good price. For 30-35 Euros (including the VAT, if I remember correctly) it was the only choice that I had. Following the facom (pretty much the same) with 50+vat and the unior (I don't remember the price).
Nothing wrong with this cantilever toolbox..I think it worth with the price:)
It not too bad when we compare it with Unior, Facom or even Gedore;)

But let's start from a blurry photo with a small box on the new catalog of
Now I think is much better.
Playing with the macro.
Playing with the macro NoII
I hope you enjoy.
Awesome self shoot
Thanks for the pics..I'm very enjoy it:rocker:

There were other wrenches, but this one had "Germany" on it so it was the first choice.
Great!! that how professional tools fans make their decision:rocker:
I very jealous with you especially when looking to your NOS Belzer stuff:bowdown::bowdown:
Btw: thanks to share the pics:eyecrazy:

nice Gedore pics again !!! very cool :thumbup::pimpflash
i don´t have that many Gedore tools but here is a pic for you :)
Awesome Gedore wrenches collection

I believe that customers will buy these because they are serviceable and they have a very good price. Αt least are cheaper even than some imported. I think that with the previous sales of imported 7r etc gedore knows what the customers wants.

I' haven't the price of the new 4r yet but with the differences of previous I believe that they will be cheaper than 2 ratcheting combination. Yes 2 sizes for the price of 1.5 at least.
For me I ordered the reversible combination although I like better the straight (non reversible). I did that because I'm afraid that they will not be very comfortable with their 0 degree angle. Otherwise I would get the 4r for sure.

Yes their line up of ratcheting wrenches is very impressive especially because manufactures all on its own.
Ok all the catalog of Gedore is impressive with the quantity, the variety and the quality. :)

The bolt cutter looks good, i wonder if its from Austria as well ? i hope :)
The new blue handles of the ratches looks nice too. My favoutrite colour :)

Another difficult decision for me. Knipex or Gedore? :headscrat :D

So I'm going to spam some more from the Bahco outlet store. :)

cool. Great tools in unbeatable price. Congratulation :)

Will there also be a 4RU? that would be the one for me :)

No the scraper came just with one blade. Lets see how long the blades will last. I remember back in the days the scraper cost 2/3 of the price that it costs now :( but some little voice inside my head told me that I had to buy it :D

I fully agree with you.
Yes the price is great, cheaper than KS Tools etc. and i can open them and grease them, that´s great too ! And they look better too :) And somehow they feel stronger too. I trust them that they can remove any screw without breaking. :) And their package don´t say "These tools are not intented to remove frozen fasteners" (or so...) like the Gearwrench package....These are real tools, not toys :D Often the straight wrenches do work, but not always, so i think the best would be to have both types :)

Another difficult decision for me. Knipex or Gedore? :headscrat :D
both :D ;)
Gedore fits better to your collection i think ;)

ahhh those voices :D
yeah back in the days it was cheaper and it also once was in their promo flyer with 3 blades i think, for a good price but didn´t buy it either.... :(

Here are three vintage Stahlwille tool holders/racks in excellent condition. Not shown are the pegs/hangers that fit inside each hole for tool mounting. Anyone know approximate vintage these holders are?

Welcome! Great first post.

Finish on these look nice. How well does that "speed" open end work in practice? I've always wondered...

Welcome , thanks for the photos, when you use the wrenches I'd appreciate your opinion on the design of open-ended, I've seen several wrenches with this type of design, and even videos, but I do not know how functional result :headscrat

Often the straight wrenches do work, but not always, so i think the best would be to have both types :)

So I take the stubby with the straight tape and regular 7ur with angle. :D

Gedore fits better to your collection i think ;)

Yes I guess :D

Some nice, well used tools. I like them.

Today is my first post on GJ, but I have followed this thread for a long time now. Thank you all for your views and information, and thanks especially to Monte for starting this thread, and adding so much information! My workshop is a bicycle repair shop in a small garden shead behind our house. Here is a Swiss-made Gressel bench vise, which is the heartbeat of the shop. Also shown are USAG wrenches and PB Swiss hex keys, and for clean-up, a nice Erzinger Bursten bench wiper and heavy-duty dust pan. These are the "essential" tools I have, and all are from Europe. I'll post more photos as I can, but wanted to make a modest introduction and say thanks to all once again!

Welcome! Great first post.

Finish on these look nice. How well does that "speed" open end work in practice? I've always wondered...

Yes, chrome finish is really nice. Here you can see how does it actually works.

Welcome d.stole. Very nice set. I've been wanting some wrenches like that for the occasional loose nut that is hard to reach. How much did you pay?

I needed new set of wrenches and accidentally watched some tools in one store. I bought them on clearance (seems, nobody wants to buy this type of wrenches). I had nothing against them and for about 23euros. Regular price is about 81eur.:willy_nil

Welcome , thanks for the photos, when you use the wrenches I'd appreciate your opinion on the design of open-ended, I've seen several wrenches with this type of design, and even videos, but I do not know how functional result :headscrat

Well, sure they look strange at first. I never had this type of wrenches. But you learn very soon how to use them. I think they quite good for working where is not possible to access with ratchet, for initial tightening when you need fast work. Guess that people who works pipes, hoses, fittings will appriciate it. Good thing is that they concentrate all of the pressure on the flats of the fastener instead of the corners like regular open ends. Didn't use them with high torques (if I test them in this situtation, will post it here). Seems they're not good for working on flat surfaces, at last with open end.

I like unior tools. Very very nice. Have you any other?
Welcome to the forum d.stole

I laso like them. :D Expect few more pictures of Unior tools, hope soon. ;)

Nice tools! Hey, I'm bicycle lover too. :D You shuould check some Unior tools for bicycles, cause there's importer in USA. Some of them are more expensive, but some are cheaper than many chinesse, or "special" bike tools manufacturers. I'm currently expecting 1609/2BI Hollowtech II bracket tool, about 15usd. Of course, with lifetime warranty as all their tools. ;)

Sorry guys for my bad english. Cheers too all!

Wow! I bet that was not cheap when new... :) Nice find!

They used to be made in Germany. I suspect they (like the wrenches) might be something other now. Check for "Germany" marking.

Then the best finds of the day I think. This set of three Spain made Palmera pliers was only 150:- SEK. Some minor rust and a bit of discoloration on the handles, but great price for quality pliers.
