I'm using it to grind epoxy paint from my basement floor, grind off paint and loose parging from my basement walls so I can fix cracks, then going to grind paint and loose parging from my exterior foundation walls so they are clean for stucco.

Yikes that doesn't sound like much fun :D

PS
I like that the bottom drawer has double rails, which is nicer the the craftsman and harbor freight ones. So you can loaded it up with heavier stuff. And the ball bearing rails are pretty smooth.

So are these the boxes we've seen photos of your power tools in? No rush, but when you get a chance coud you show the drawer config and maybe some overall dimensions? Do they suggest what the max drawer load is?

I'm thinking if these do come available at the Aldi UK, a few of them would make for a cheap option to support my worktop (and an excuse to buy more tools to fill the drawers -negating any savings I suppose).

Today's delivery. These were described as "Hardly Used" - I'd say well used (one or two look to have had a go on an impact wrench), but overall not too bad. I'm glad I didn't pay more than I did though :)

It's an AF set so I don't expect to be using them too often. They're all pre "OGV" profile and stamped "France" so I'm going to have a chore filling the 19/32 gap, but then I'm in no rush.

canuk,

The boxes are still boxed up. I have not open them yet. As I am doing a major remodel of my basement workshop.

My powertools are actually kept in a wisent 44" box with a door on the right bay where I can configure the shelves for larger tools.

I will be using the double rail to store my hammers I think when I get everything reorganized.

LOL yeah - I've won another Facom 3/8" ratchet as well (oops!). These AF sockets aren't nearly as tidy as the auction suggested, so I don't think I bagged a bargain, but probably a reasonable price relative to the new cost. I suspect the ridiculous postage put some bidders off.

that is a beautiful, exotic collection (exotic to me, at least).

Where is that BAHCO ratcheting screwdriver made? I bet it's made in the same place the SK one is.

One brand of tools that I would like to see more of is BETA. Do you have any of that stuff?

Bahco is made by Snap-on. It is one of their foreign brands. They sell them in Europe, Australia and South America. It has nothing to do with S-K. S-K was sold seeral years back. Snap-on has never had anything to do witht the company. I have a set of 1/2 drive Deep SAE sockets in the Bahco brand and they are not all that great. I think my Craftsman are as good if not better. The C man's have better chrome. I have other sets but I am not impressed witht the Bacho. I like my S-k Set much better.

My favourite toolbox of all time (on the left)! Now since I moved all tools out of it I gotta start filling it up. Don't have any other pics of her apart from this:

Again, good stuff. I've got your toolboxes little an big brothers. I also love the 916LG. My brakes are babies compared to those ;)

That's beautiful combo, thanks for posting! Was toying with the idea of getting a 166C in addition to my Assistent but in the end went for a roll cab as my tool collection kept growing. I now use the Assistent as a cart to roll around the car, will never sell as at 17kg I can carry it anywhere!

916LG is superb, very versatile ratchet. Can't recommend it enough.

I have had the green one for 12 years. It is actually made in germany. I switch from dewalt to give bosch and try, and it is a good solid hammer drill.
ahh nice a german one ! very seldom nowadays.....

VW in the first rank!! awesome:bowdown:
I hear VW start assemble 3 of their model in Malaysia, I guess it for local and Asian market.. the new VW assembly plant about 40km from my home.:D
time to buy a VW :D:thumbup:
They already assemble the VW "Passat" in Malaysia, the VW "Polo" and "Jetta" will follow maybe. Maybe they will buy Proton too....
ps: www.vwclubmalaysia.net :)

Do you know how old the Peddinghaus?
the oldest catalog i have is from 1987 and a newer model is pictured there, so it must be older, maybe around 30 years old.

Awesome jobs..:bowdown
thanks buddy

finally finish my Toyo toolbox restoration project..here the results:)
WOW very nice job !!! Looks like new !!!:bowdown::bowdown:

The biggest difference is the built in dust management and the motor being sealed from dust. The dust management works good until the filter on vacuum gets clogged. Even when using a dust deputy I have to stop about every 5 mins to shake out the filter in my Fein vacuum.

this would be the perfect vacuum for you:

availabe rebadged as Metabo and in the future as Bosch too.

My small tool collection. Mostly Hazet, Wiha, NWS, Snap On and some Facom (their Made in France sockets turned out really soft, not buying anymore!)
very nice quality collection !

Gedore punch + chisel set

COO check: passed :)

New upgrade for my Assistent. Not old world, but is anybody wants to donate me a German vise, I will use it. Have a long bushing, washer and post threaded into the vise and paced into the Assistent's arm. Rotates freely and does not lock, but it's just a third hand.

You can either love or hate her. She appears regularly on german tv.

Too bad I only understand a few words... :) Is she a genuinely good mechanic or just a pretty face for TV?

I've missed posting for a lot of pages now, but great pictures everyone! Haven't bought anything in a while, so soon I'm hoping to be able to post something :)

I have finished a little project though: A handle for the lid on my toolbox:

That looks great, congrats. I'm sure the vice will see lots of use.

Do you have any other (read bigger) toolbox or only Assistant and the cantilever box? I'm only asking as I was doing away with my small Assi for some time before I decided to consolidate all my tools in one place. This called for a rollcab as things like saws, hammers, pry bars just wouldn't fit in the 166C I had my eyes on. Basically, my question is this. Would you at some point upgrade to a bigger storage or just add another Assistent?

several years ago she had her own show with 2 other girls on german tv. they all had their own character one was miss tuning at that time, she was the mechanic and also went to "car school" at that time where I think she passed.

now she does several projects, every now and then appears on the television and is a hazet promo person.

lol
