PB Swiss Japan tools

hautpot - sweet hammers !

#4 looks like a 450g/16oz head with the metal insert. is that the go-to size or do you prefer the ergonomics of the other ones?

I got this stuff a year and half ago but never got around to post the pictures, and now that I am in the spirit of sharing I thought to share with my brethren. These tools are all acquired via the knowledge this forum has provided, and some are not as shiny as you are seeing them, but they are still pretty clean. :D Thank you all for the knowledge and expertise rendered. Sorry for the too many pictures.
why did you hide the pics for so long :p There are never too many pictures ;) Thanks for posting !! :pimpflash

Seeing the PB Swiss hammers just reminded me about these new ones that I saw in Japan. They were not for sale yet at the time (late April). I would've bought one if it they were for sale.

BTW, Hautpot, how was the shopping experience through Factory Gear?

Some more pictures relevant to this thread:

I took this because I was intrigued by how wide the head on the reversible one looked.

I don't know of the actual measurements though

I shopped through the Factory Gear website. Overall I am satisfied. Shipping was a little slow and my invoice had to be adjusted for international shipping related issues, BUT My items were packaged very well and communication was clear and courteous. I would definately order some of the uncommon items from there again.

I can't wait for the new PB Swiss hammers

I have the 2 leg from HAZET (read Gedore) but smaller. What is the part number of this?

They are stout puller but would like to compare to Kukko.

Stahlwille is Kukko as per Monte's instructions

Welding Magnets. No coo, but I suppose they are made in Australia. They look well made and have very strong switchable magnets, but you can't position them very close to where you are welding or else the magnetic field will pull/destabilize the arc.

Ground clamp/lead magnets, on the right is rated for 600 AMP, and on the left is 300 AMP.

No COO tells you something; it is NOT made in Oz.

I bought mine about 6 months ago, very convenient, but they don't like paint, or snap crackle fizz and pop, enough so to frizzle the plating on the MagSwitch.

I would get a bigger size too than the the 300 Amp I got, even running it on a 230Amp 3 phase welder.

I mean to ask, I remember a while back you got some Ruko stuff, and I was wondering if you have given it a try, and whether you have any comments/recommendations as far as quality. I am in need of tap set, drill bits and other similar items, and hesitant between Ruko and Volkel.

That looks compact and nice! Japan makes some decent quality tools. Congrats.

Ruko has always been seriously sound afaik, founded in 1974. I got single hole chamfers, step drills and counterbore drills, all good.

Volkel have been around for 100years, and their specialty is threading tools. They manufacture in Europe and Asia.

Thanks for the info node105. I Haven't connected mine yet, but I can't think of any ground clamp that tolerates paint or heavy rust, best to grind for bright shiny metal and then place the clamp.

My 1/4 Stahlwille 415 QRN is the most stiff ratchet I own when it is new, but I'm sure it is really strong. How they can make such a huge difference with the same structure. :lol_hitti

I had my stahlwille 415 QR N delivered to me. Yes, it's the stiffer than hazet 863S.

Incidentally, this ratchet is not unservicable, which can be disassembled easily. The black cover on the ratchet head is plastic.

Yes, it's quite easy to disassemble it.

Hitachi impact socket set. Anyone knows the coo?

It is the Cr-Mo kind of sockets although it means nothing if the correct treatment is not done.

Anyone know when those new fein impact driver's are gonna be released?

I'd like to pick up the tool only (don't need the batteries).

Been checking the few FEIN sources I have in the USA along with Amazon.de, yet to see them.

Hello guys,

Looking for brush and grinding attachments for the grinder.

Thank you!

Angle die grinder: Roloc
Straight grinder: 6mm/1/4" shaft tools

I will be in the Stuttgart area for about a week, and would love to buy some tools. Does anyone have a tool house that they recommend?
not really, but if you type in "Stuttgart" on this page and then click on "Suche" you will see the Hazet dealer list.
