Had this a long time and it recently surfaced. Figured you guys would appreciate the view.
Very cool. Several years ago I found one at an auto swap, minus the box. Found the picture, turns out it's a combo. I was thrilled because a forum member had gifted me the Snap-On version in the Secret Santa. I like that odd wrench related stuff.

Here is a SALTUS 1/2in drive set I have had in the collection a long time. Lightly used with only a few of the more common sockets showing use. Ratchet is the one direction push through style to change the direction.

Does anyone know much about vintage Muralt grease guns? This one was inside our 1961 Unimog 404.1 and is of excellent quality. It has a chain-pull plunger like the old Wanner guns, I couldn’t find much about the company in English or German. There’s no country marking but I’m guessing Swiss origin.

Thanks @Monte, It looks like they acquired Wanner in 1974. I wonder if Muralt was another acquisition along the way? There’s a “WMB” marking on the handle and bottom - has anyone else seen these or have insights?

Our Unimog was a Swiss troops carrier, maybe this was a military issue tool?

I have a simple question. Are your European ratchets and socket sets drive mechanism's metric like your bolts and nuts or are they American standard drive measurements like 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, inches?

Hello, does anyone knows where can I find this old model of stanley screwdriver (new old stock)? I would prefer if the seller ships to Greece.

Gedore didn’t waste saleable 10mm wrenches for their effort.

USAG and Facom are two other possibilities.
The Facom wrenches are the 84 series.
USAG seems to have two different designs for their 280 series wrenches, so Facom might as well.
One seems to have a TK suffix, and the other a TT suffix.
Beta manufactures something similar as their 951 series.

USAG and Facom are both owned by SBD, and they seem to apply both brands to otherwise identical tools. USAG is Italian, and Facom is French, but for example I've got some USAG screwdrivers and L-keys that were made in France and appear identical to Facom-branded versions. This seems to apply to T-handles, screwdrivers, P-handles, L-keys, and some fold-up sets. All these have USAG numbers starting with "280"; I'm wondering if "280" indicates the product was made in the French factory.

I think the Lego keys in the video are from Beta, but it is hard to be sure. Note that the biggest key in the set is different; it has a round bar and the two handle ends are clocked differently, which is a very cool feature.

Both Usag and Facom are made in italy

Can you provide your source for that? My set of Facom 84TCD were most definitely made in France. But they are a few years old and things may have changed.

Edited to add: Here's a video showing Facom torque wrenches, spanners, and ratchets being manufactured in the USAG Gemonio plant:
.

And here's what Ultimate Garage says: "USAG Sliding T-Handle Metric Hex Key - 4mm (84TCD.4) - suited for use in auto and motorcycle repair shops and for industrial maintenance. USAG manufactures these keys in their Gemonio (Italy) factory and they are marketed under both the USAG (280TK series) and Facom (84TCD series) names. I prefer to stock the USAG branded tools because of the cheaper price and US warranty (the Facom keys have to be sent back to France for warranty consideration)."

So maybe "280" just indicates a product that was originally a Facom product and has nothing to do with COO?

@Pexto At least their 2020 Inventory states so. But given their inconsistency with COO (Even some sizes of the same product being made in different places) I wouldn´t be surprised for this to change.

Facom owned USAG.
After Stanley purchased USAG, I think they the terminology they used for the Italian section or Italian manufacturing plants.
Facom used to and likely still does, produce tools for USAG, and USAG makes tools for Facom.
Some other items are also likely purchased from other manufacturers to fill out the product lineup.

Just wanted to say thanks to this group for introducing me to Knipex. I fell way down the rabbit home! Cobras from 100mm to 400mm.

Doubled up on a few sizes in order to have spares - certainly don't "need" every size, but they sure are purdy to look at! Fantastic quality to boot, and you can bet I sure did try the stand on the pliers trick. Simply amazing!
