BTW how's your Monte Carlo coming along? (I think Its you who's bulding one, I may be wrong)

Back to tool talk, do you know of any European online store apart from amazon with Hazet, Gedore, Stahlwille and others with the option of English, French or Spanish (I don't speak German)

@Monte: The Monte Carlo is looking good and so is the Cadillac you're working on, now hurry up and finish the Monte Carlo

Many thanks for the links, what's funny is that you found some on my country when I kill myself looking everywhere, and you even found one 10 minutes from my house (SDR) and another half an hour away :lol_hitti  you're the man :thumbup:

Don't know what the Hazet B-25 wrench is used for but looks good, looks like something specific to work on some kind of machine.

@american lockpicker: never heard of Moof before but been on the website and they look good :D

Next trip will be to Japan! I want to go see the KTC museum and all the cool shops!

That black/red Wera screwdriver is something that you probably don't have yet in your collection, I assume? :D .....I do believe it's a Apex rebranded one....saw it on Ebay some time ago.

Is that the first gen. plastic Wera handle? I once saw that at my local pawn shop and I regretted not getting it. That's one beefy screwdriver....looks more like a mini pry bar.

I'll take some :)

And what machine would that be? For the machine/car comment I assume it's part of a tool kit for a German car manufacturer :bounce: on the same subject my daily driver uses a Heyco wheel nut wrench http://www.heyco.de and Bilstein jack will post pics when I take some.

old Wera screwdriver
That looks like it went through hell and back :shocking: love the old Wera hard handles :)

yes i think ?!? glossy handle , not texturized, looks like older production.
Probably also was used as a pry bar because of the parallel broken tip. Luckily slotted tips can be reground ;)

I'll take some :)

Since you're planning to go Japan so... I don't know if you want to check this site out: EHIME MACHINE They mostly handle KTC and limit selection of other Japanese tools... They offer best price within Japan.
If you go to DIY・HC stores, might disappoint or fascinate you...

Anyway...
it really ***** that AIGO went under i just hope that they won't be bought out by China and send the factory to mainland china...
It was different story for "TOUGH" brand by Dia-Seiko・ダイヤ精工。 They just seized production of their own brand tools few years ago... They are still in business manufacturing...
I wasn't impressed by their quality of tools. They conform JIS standard but durability was issue... after using double box end wreches, for 2 years i can notice the wear/rounding.

Say, is there any way to get a full set of Wiha 'Power Handle' (or similar) screwdrivers like those blue ones? I've got a single orange hard handle Wiha with a bolster, so they obviously used to build those.

That wrench looks just like the no-name wrenches we use when changing the co2 cylinders on beer and post-mix soda systems. Ours are real cheap, and we just leave them hanging on the co2 line, so they're always there where we need them.

Yeah, I'd definitely hit up one of the many Factory Gear stores. :bounce:

Ahhh, the Format version.

Yeah, I'd say you grind/file that down to make a nice narrrow-point prybar. :)

There's a lot of tool stores to visit in Japan, some easily accessible with public transportation; some not. I've found that there's no definitive online shop that always has the lowest price. The sales and prices vary quite a bit. When there's a lot of outlets to choose from, it takes time finding the best deal.....unless you're just shopping for a couple things.

There's also these online stores (there's a handful more out there too):
i-tools
webike
Kobe no kouguya
Factory Gear
OTC
Hara Tool
WIT

Yeah, I do hope the factory gets bought up by a Japanese firm. It'be a shame if it went off shore.

Thanks for sharing info about your Tough brand tools. Pics? I've only seen them in Japanese blogs, and quality of the pictures isn't great. Is your wear issue a cosmetic issue (chrome peeling?)

[edit] i realize now that you said your Tough wrenches are seeing rounding. still interested in pics though. :D

Nice Stahlwille! And cool six point box end!

My package from Wuppertools.de arrived

Bought some drivers at the Bahco outlet stuff this summer, but some sizes was missing. So got some to make the sets complete. These were Bahco branded though and not Belzer, so they won't match completely.

ohkay...
little drunk rightnow...

>SuperAutobacs:
Sorry i just answered/replied one of question.
At that time i cheaped out and bought the cheapest set of TOUGH wrenchs.
Mine are dull non polished chrome, Yes chrome is chipping/peeling... it's bit noticable with third picture.

I didn't know that 「神戸の工具屋KTC本店」 was in rakuten. I used to use their officail web site for KTC reference along side with KTC's website.
Most of the tool shops have online store in yahoo shopping, amazon, or/and rakuten...

I heard that Japanese tool market is control by 3 pillars...
Fixed/established price, Wholesale, and Dealer. to maintain steady(fixed) pricing.
For the KTC dealers, they cannot sell tools at lower than minimum quoted price set by KTC.

ok my brain's semi(barely) fuctioning right now...
good night and out

Just wanted to post some pics of my 916SP... use it everyday and am quite happy. It is not as "smooth" as some I have (Proto Pro RH, Arm Maxx88, SK RH, Wright RH...) BUT is just as robust as anything and I feel more confident when yanking on it. The plastic/rubber handle has held up well over the last 6 months - I just wipe some PB blaster on it and it is clean (Looks horrible at the end of the day w/o cleaning).

I know we've had a lot of hand tools posted lately. Since maybe some of you read this thread and not others (at least I don't see some of you post in other threads), would you mind posting photos or telling me what you've got if you have a German-made drill (cordless or wired).
