seems to be... feels like bake-a-lite, pretty strong - I took a flathead to it trying to pry it up and see if it would bend - didn't budge and took a fair amount of force before I gave up and decided not to break it. I think the older version has a metal selector, but then I wouldn't have the pretty blue.

That black/red Wera screwdriver is something that you probably don't have yet in your collection, I assume? .....I do believe it's a Apex rebranded one....saw it on Ebay some time ago.

You're correct, It's an Apex. I purchased it at a flea market for two bucks. I pretty much use it as a beater and it's lasted. I took this after I bought it:

They could have blued a non plated metal selector like the screws in this.

My new LTR cooling system pressure tester set. Many thanks to Monte for helping my find a supplier over here so i could buy exactly the one i wanted.

And some more nice Stahlwille goodies too. They're like works of art. The fit and finish is unbeatable. When they lock into place there's no slop at all.

I just picked up a small collection of PB Swiss drivers for working on my motorcycle. The fasteners are mostly socket head cap screws, but all of the Phillips are JIS. Quite a painful realization when most of my screws were already stripped out in the heads. The ph drivers should fit them as they are DIN/ISO, but those bits down there next to the handle are actual JIS bits from Count on Tools clearance section.

Fantastic. How much use to do you put that Bosch too? I've heard good things about the Rohm chucks. Seems like a good option since Jacobs stopped doing stuff in the US.

@ Moose: good stuff. That pressure tester kit looks hep. Or as cool as a pressure tester kit can look As for the Stahlwille, I'm getting some sockets and extensions soon. I need another set, and finally decided to consider putting Stahlwille to the test instead of SO. At least for the metric stuff. Why not. Cheaper in some cases (torx sockets), and perfect for my German car

@Chreese: Nice stuff. I've had some festool on my list, esp. the sanders and vacuum kit. I also looked at the drill, but ended up with a Hilti (Swiss I think) which I needed at the time.

The older German power tools I've seen looked more "practical" and down to business, while the old Skil, Craftsman, and Milwaukee always had that futuristic, space look I think. Interesting.....

Say, is there any way to get a full set of Wiha 'Power Handle' (or similar) screwdrivers like those blue ones? I've got a single orange hard handle Wiha with a bolster, so they obviously used to build those.

Yes it is plastic. A Hazet dude who i spoke with said since a ratchet is often used as a hammer so if you hit the selector it just shears off. Then you can punch out the rest with a pin punch and just snap in a new one. Metal selectors which are bent are difficult to remove.

What does that fit? that look identicle to the Land Rover Special Tools cooling system pressure tester. The Rover one ***** though, I just use my Snap On one usually.

Great tools all around. I really like those yellow handled HAZET. I just received a shipment of HAZET tools myself. The flex head ratchet was hard to get (I wanted the black handled version). While it is a top quality tool, I think GEDORE and Stahlwille's versions are slightly better because of you can lock the head. The ratchet screwdriver is very nice.

I believe the ratcheting screwdriver is discontinued. It is not shown on the 2009 or 2010 catalog. When I saw it I bought it just for that reason . The black change lever is metal. All my Hazet ratchets have the metal change lever. The new ones are supposed to be very sturdy and easy to change, but I am old fashioned.

Does anyone know where this BOSCH is made? Any experience with it? I think it would be useful around my home garage. I don't have much space or an air tank for airtools yet.

The Stahlwille tools are great. I love the fit and finish of them. They're proper industrial tools and work as such.

Most of my sockets are Snap-on, but i have quite a mix too. All different brands from all over the world, many of my special sockets are from other brands.

Don't worry about the handle, this will be a working tool anyway. I'm more worried about the business end of it.

It covers a number of different cars. I don't have the list to hand but the various adapters included cover most of what i need. There are a couple of adapters that i'll buy in addition to what's in the set. One of which is the VW-Audi style adapter. I'm surprised it doesn't come in this kit.

A lot of the more expensive and complex stuff of Bosch is made in the old Scintilla factory in Switserland (up to the sixties also known for a lot of electric car parts and accessories).

Up to a few years ago they even stated on the serial plate Scintilla made in Switzerland.

yes they´re identical. The "Hi-Q" set was 15.95 €, a similar Wera set is available for example at ebay.de for 17.58€. Chadstoolbox sells the set for $22.54

I bought one of the "McNürnburger" but like you already said it don´t look that good... also not enough mustard and they need to install a coal grill for the proper taste and grill them longer , more crispy

I bought it and the others for the regular price, about 4€ to 5€ each i think. Just for the collection.... on the other hand... the handle is quite nice.... maybe a set or two... .... later....

Yes they are sweeeet. I found a guy on ebay that was selling the first pair of Hazet needle nose with the yellow handles that i posted a while back. I had to contact him cause it said he would only ship to germany, and thats when I found out about his other Hazet tools. So I purchased them as you can see.

What are those Hazet pliers you posted used for? Crimping of some sort.

Now I am on the lookout for some green handled Dowidat pliers and some more Belzer pliers in the blue and red handles. Any leads let me know.
