Trying to decide between Chrome palted KNIPEX long nose pliers ( 26 16 200 ) or Polished head KNIPEX long nose pliers ( 26 18 200 )

Only difference seems to be Chrome plating and price

:dunno:

I've been thinking about some PB Swiss which handles stink?

All of them have a slight smell, but that's only if you put them up to your nose and take a big whiff. The Classic handles seem to be a bit more potent.

It doesn't bother me since I'm not in the habit of sniffing my tools.

I have the red transparent handles and they stink, I will never buy PB SWISS again. they are very nice and fit well, but they do smell.

Are you taling about the screwdrivers ?
My black chisel handle PB Swiss screwdrivers have no smell at all

My classic red handle smells really bad if you sniff it up close. I don't know how to describe the smell.

Its a Swedish Army knife.

Moras are good but inexpensive knives, don't let the small price make you think they are "Cheap" though as they are good quality tools.

The ones with the laminated carbon steel blades are very good also. The sheath's look a bit crappy but thats easy enough to fix with a decent leather sheath to get rid of the plastic one.

That is a nice knife, but what source do you have on it being used by the swedish army? I don't know myself, but i thought the 2000 was for outdoorsmen only. They have used Moras though, so it is possible. It still is a really good knife anyhow, i have talked about my love for Moras previously... :)

Some swedish army knifes:

EDIT:

I did some googling and there appears to be two Mora models available in military green and called "Swedish army knife", both of these are based on models inferior to the 2000. Perhaps the 2000 is used somewhere also, but the grunts are probably given something cheeper.

I thought the Mora 2000 and some Fallkniven where what the Swedish Army used as I was told that by a knife enthusiast from Austria.

Also I have this from Sweden.

Its similar to what their army uses.

Fällkniven F1 and A1 is used, as stated in the link i posted. But for utility knifes it seems that cheaper models than the 2000 is used. So be proud, your knife is to good for the swedish army! Military specs often means "we know how bad it is" instead of "it's good"... :)

That flint and steel is cool. But a pack of matches is so easy to carry around... :)

Haven't had any issues with them. I have some Beta sockets as well and they are just as pretty. They've been thrown around a bit and still look good as new.

I do need some new punches... hmmmm... how does the soft grip feel?

It's starting to thin out on amazon.

And there are maybe 5 hammers left too... better get crackin guys!

My latest Beta score from Amazon. $13

That's an amazing deal. I recently bought a few Beta items, but your timing must have been extremely good to get all that for $13. I should get the Beta sockets I ordered tomorrow - the big bys up the 32mm, like Thelonious posted earlier. You can also see the cape chisel with handguard (very big, comfy and nice) and trays I got earlier in the thread.

New Stahlwille 411 60 tooth, it's nice, but no Snap On. The handle feels nice, however I am going to cut it off.
