Here is the NWS Combimax I mentioned a few posts back!
@Moose - yes they are 180mm. Does yours also have the wire shear hole? Mine is the first I have seen with this. Can't figure if it is old or new stock.
Last few days , I want to hardware shop and I saw they selling Wiha screwdriver will blue handle but I cannot found any information in Wiha website .

Krokodil, those ones with the hole are the new ones, mine are like yours but with Titan finish and without the hole.
Mine are so sweet to work with, they open so soft; how are yours, soft or hard to open/close? When closed, is there a space in the front teeth preventing them to touch between upper/lower teeth?

I just love the look of those serrated jaws/heads on the NWS cutters. I read someplace else (not GJ) that the NWS were generally not as good as Knipex, but thought I read differently here. I may have to try a pair of the cutters if I can find a decent pair, though.
Nice NWS pliers! I got a VDE CombiMax last week. They are sweet!
garfunkle24,
Did you purchase the NWS pliers from HIPA Tools? If yes, do they now accept credit cards over the phone? How was your purchase and shipping experience?
Thanks,
Dave

I think NWS are better than Knipex for many things. The finish is much better.
Thanks Krokodil! I have those pliers too, they really are sweet:

+.
I do fine that the finish on the pliers is particularly attractive on the NWS. I wish NWS would send me a catalog but they have not responded...
... so here you can download the general catalog, it is from 2008 (it's the present one), don't get scared, it is both in German and English.Knipex sent me a nice printed catalogue.![]()
I'm waiting for the new catalog in Spanish or English (my German is not good enough yet), so then I will ask them to send me one.
Moose, one question, around how much is a NWS Combimax there in the UK?
u mean open box 13?@ mrtools, I have the short pattern Stahlwille. They are comfortable and light. nice wrenches they were worth the wait.
My completed favorite wrench set
mrtools,
Can you please explain why you favor the Stahlwille Open Box 14's over the Heyco Maxline wrenches you own?
Thanks,
Dave
1st mirror finish of heyco maxline easy to look when it scratchnot suitable for heavy duty jobs..i love my wrench very much
mat finish for wille wrench not easy to detect a scratch
ideal for everyday though jobs.
2nd open end of stahlwille have a unique shape & a jaw more fit to a bolt/nut compare with heyco wrench![]()
3rd open jaw stahlwille open box 14 have a thick jaw it can grip bolt/nut at more area to prevent slip
@Joki
As u said
@ krokodil
i guess u have a set of wille wrench..
@ganfunkle24
Awesome NWS stuff...i should have one & how good a cable cutter with serrated jaw?
Thanks Krokodil! I have those pliers too, they really are sweet:

I sent a request and they sent me a nice English catalogue, the covering letter was actually hand signed too.
I paid £17 for the combination pliers pictured.

@Bart1: Glad to see the Beta's finally arrived... is the Hazet socket the same size as the Beta? I had no idea how much deeper the Betas are compared to the Hazet... good stuff! Now I need a Beta extension!
That's a 3/8" drive Hazet 23mm and a 1/2" drive 24mm Beta. I like the Hazet due to the two tone finish, useful knurling, and "flank drive" over the Beta, but we'll see how each of them do with some hard use. I suspect both will be fine. The extension was cheap, too.
Facom's OGV allows for a bit of movement. The beta's have zero movement/play... I may run into a problem w/ a well corroded/dirty fastener and the Betas due to the tight clearance - pull out the ol' wire brush I guess.
