God price , I bought my first Facom tool yesterday , it was a 440 wrench and a like it much ! Who need Snap-on when we have the best tool in Europe Okey what do you drive, Saab, Volvo,Scania Husaberg or Husqvarna

I drive a 2001 v70

the 440 is exact the one i doubt about. maybe I prefer the old 40's
(somewhere in this thread there is the discussion on 440 comming from toptull)
mainly i think the beam looks a bit to exotic/ergonomic
do you like the ergonomics/grip?

Where did you get these? They look very nice.

i was positive surprised, never know what to expect with 'satin chrome'
I bought them from a private person on marktplaats (dutch e-dbay)
we can get a good deal anyways in webshops here in holland

thanx, bought these for 50 euro on marktplaats (=dutch ebay)
We don't need snap-on high shine chrome, if we can have this satin chrome finished Facom
btw i dont speak swedish, but I drive swedish...
(and then you'll notice you need all metric sizes that the French prefer to skip (14 18 22mm))

Satin is better than shiny! And those Facoms have a great satin finish!

I don't think there is a hobbyists toolbox where you don't find some Biltema.

Thats what i wanted to know

I bought the Würth Felos because the "Würth Zebra" version has the handle shape of the Felo 550 series ( w/striking cap) combined with the squishy "Ergonic" handle of the Felo 400 series.

I only own 1 Bahco screwdriver for my collection. But i prefer Felo, Hazet, Wiha 3K, Witte etc. because i like their handle shape better. Bahco is too round for me.

sorry for the late reply but the Stahlwille guy was out of his office until 16. febr.

The letters are a "blank-identifier". The employee can see which wrench can be made from which blank.
The older Stahlwille wrenches have a size marking which is stamped into the wrench and not forged, so you know which wrench you can make out of it, and so you could make different sizes (for example 19mm and 3/4") from the same forged blank.
Because of modern production methods it is not necessary anymore to mark the tools.

I do have some old biltema items from gramps lying around somewhere, Argentinian and Spanish bacho as well. Living in france facom is a given.

Just received some Vessel drivers from LevelChrome.

I'm very impressed with these red drivers. Solid through tang with bolster. I dare say that they feel better in my hand than my PB Swiss Multicrafts.

These ball type drivers were initially bought as a gift but after using them on my old Yammie I just might keep them.

This wood handled driver was included for free. The fit & finish is excellent but compared to the red drivers it seems a bit wimpy.

I used the rivet gun to repair my Snap on tool box and it worked great. I think it is a good deal since it includes everything you need and it was fairly cheap at $32.

Yes, all Japanese, even though they are manufactured in the US. The exception are my motorcycles, both are older Yamaha's.

Here are my latest purchases. I found some good deals on Beta tools at Amazon and I could not pass them up. I also got some Wiha micro screwdriver set. This week I finally got some of the Facom modules and the micro torx screwdrivers I had ordered some weeks ago.

The tips are machined properly and fit like a glove. No cam out with the PB Swiss drivers. I also prefer the B series (security tip) so I don't need any additional tools.

The COO of the Vessel Ball Handle driver is not surprising. I called Lee Valley about Vessel's VDK-1 Electrician Knife (LINK) about stock availability and the COO. The customer sales representative told me that the electrician knife is also made in Thailand.

Do you know if the coupon codes for "Level Chrome" that you posted in the "Hot Deal Index" thread are still valid for Supertool, Ko-ken, and Vessel hand tools?

It has 72 teeth.
i payed 24,95€ + 19% sales tax. A bit pricey so if you don´t need the fancy design and plastic handle i would recommend the Bahco bit ratchet with a smaller head and a bit + socket set for around 19,95 to 24,95€. It doesn´t have a handle, but the price is right, or look for the KS-Tools version with handle.

That´s why Old company, tradition, german quality, old design, patented steel formula, glossy chrome finish, the old style translucent red handles on pliers, screwdrivers etc. like a german Snap-On. Everybody says it´s the best quality. Long lasting screwdriver tips etc. I like the old design, of course i also like new designs, but since i mostly own new tools i also wanted something old so I´m looking for NOS Belzer tools. Legendary tools...

Yeah i think the socket set retails for 50€ or so but i only need the ratchet
The Wera bit ratchet is still on my wishlist it looks so beautiful with the forged "Kraftform" handle. They should make their ratchets and screwdrivers with a drop forged "Kraftform " handle
The Bahco ratchet has 48 teeth (click). But that´s basically enough. The Würth ratchet has more, but the head is also much bigger. Here are some nice pics of the Bahco ratchet:

Was over in Ohio today and couldn't leave without buying a tool.

There was a pricing error when I tried to buy it so the cashier gave me a discount. It was $12 plus tax.

Also I got this in the ethnic foods section at Giant Eagle.

Also I visited the John Deere shop(Bosch dealer) and seen a Swiss belt sander I want. They had a few other interesting things like Cooper handsaw thats made in Denmark(might get it next week) and some dodgy Irwin drill bits. The package is marked made in Denmark but the bits are finished different than the ones I have, the markings are different and there wasn't a COO.
