And I picked up some Heyco combi-pliers too. The thing I like is they are very thin... Anybody knows how old they can be?

That was easy :) There is a "hb" stamped into the head of the hammer

It's not that it was difficult, it's that you knew it right off... unlike the Peddinghaus there wasn't any label on the hammer - which maybe that trademark is more well known in Europe, but then again we've all noticed you have an above-average knowledge of most brands of tools...

I wonder where those Bosch power tools are manufactured.

The Bosch tools I recently got were Made in Malaysia. PS41-2A and PS21-2A.

@Jure, there are nearly 1000 different pliers in Knipex's catalog. Naturally, they don't produce all of them. Some OEM are other German pliers companies or French, Italian, etc...

I've got the Knipex combination pliers you've posted. I bought it online, when i received it, i noticed it was difficult to open and close. Since then, i've read on GJ that many owners of these pliers have the same issue. I was upset and decided to buy a NWS one and i'm very happy, it opens/close flawlessly. If only Knipex is available in your area, ask the vendor to show you all his combi pliers and pick the one you like/feel the much :)

ps : Do you know keiba from Japan ? That's pretty much what i would call a "for life" pliers :http://www.mehr-als-werkzeug.de/product/717815/Combination-Pliers-by-Keiba/detail.jsf

BCHEE, How do you know those chickens were innocent? They could have been lieing instead of laying.

how good are rahsol wrenches like this

Most Rahsol is import stuff, but some is made in Germany. Rahsol is the el cheapo brand of Gedore. Comparable to Proxxon or other midrange manufacturers. Definitely no ****. If the price is right it's a decent choice, IMO.

Just received, new 3 tons jack stands from http://www.hoesl-hebetechnik.de/

Safety pin, looks safe

A view from above just to compare the different width between my new and old Chinese red stands. Both are 3 tons.

Pay attention on the different basis, the flat ones should be definatly better to preserve my concrete's floor...

They seem to be hard to find, unless you want a single type of commercial truck tyre lever. I have a set of Bico axle stands made in Essex (i think), but can't find any more info on them

They sell them in Machine Mart! If you want anything more exotic, the factory will point you in the right direction.

Cool made in Finland. :) Also today I was at a place I will talk about later... in town to get a ditch witch for a job and I seen a ton of older Bosch, Hilti, and Makita power tools for rental(some where solid metal) and most importantly they had a ton of old tools like preIrwin vice grips, Britsh Stanley tools, Hilti consumables, etc. Should have an interesting haul in a few months...

Also I noticed Hilti made some drill bits in France any idea of who the OEM is and can I buy singles(all they have is a pack for like $60...) :shocking:
