Stanley i guess.
But it doesn´t mean that the biggest is also the best :)

Well said:thumbup:

@Jure, torx tools are always expensives, what ever brand you'll pickup. On the other hand, modern cars/bikes are full of Torx screws. One day or an other you'll need these tools for sure. My advice : why don't you just buy them and right after go to the next door bar to drink 2-3 beers, just to forget what you paid for them:D

PS : Felo = 1st league:beer:

About the Merox screwdrivers - I think they are made by Sora. When I was in Baumax for the last time, in their sale I bought set of Sora screwdrivers (I posted some photos two days ago). These sets are sold out,but Baumax still sells almost the same screwdrivers, only with red coloured handle, under Meister or O.K.Line brand. I did a small net search and it really seems that the dual-tone-handles Merox screwdrivers are Sora made.

^^^ I've just scrolled Sora's website. Their 2K drivers have a different handle than Merox, maybe it's a special order(?).

btw,

back home! a few of the tools we found on the farm and cleaned:

group shot: US made old screwdriver, Lino geman-made cutter with a nice, grippy, pattern on the handle and two pliers(one Klein and a Bost):

20110725%252528001%252529.jpg

really old Klein and Bost pliers that were almost rusted solid:

20110725%252528002%252529.jpg

blueing of the Kleins was accidental but it adds a nice touch to this piece!:)

and the other two:

those have been added to our mutual tool chest for the renovation of the house!

^This guy right here is frikin amazing. Buy something from him :bounce:

Preview of my new 7"/180mm angle grinder:

Preview? I want to see the whole thing in action! :D

Now for terrible picture time, even surpassing cosmik! (It's a cell phone, leave me alone :))

For my trip to Home Depot (Hate the customer service, I go there for the tools that Lowes doesn't carry :lol_hitti)....

Old "MADE IN ENGLAND" revolving leather punch. I almost bought it *specifically* to post it here.... I think I'm losing it. But I put it back once I saw the OLFA tools... made in Japan!

Guess what else is made in Japan? That nail puller is! The normal "non-pro" one was made in Taiwan.. blah. So I looked at the more expensive one, and got it instead

Wonder who the OEM is? I had the idea that ALL estwing tools were made in USA, apparently not. Maybe it's just their hammers?

Maybe Dogyu:
http://dogyu-export.com/products/bar/bars/index.html

Irwin drill bit from Denmark ?

You amaze me sometimes. It IS Dogyu! Not maybe, it IS. You're crazy lol.

Their hammers remind me of Q-Bert!

The Irwin combo there has a Hanson tap and drill bit, both US made. I was surprised to see it. I'm using it to tap a home-made counterboring tool I made so I can put a setscrew in it :bounce: Doesn't work too well with the cutting edges spinning around -_-

just looked in the Sora price list: The list price of a 7 pc. Torx set (TX8 - TX 30) is 18,86€ + tax with 2-component handle and 16,70€ + tax for single component handle

That's very cheap :wtf: Did you get these prices from a website ?

@mrtools : Nice review + nice pics. Hazet do look strong and are very nicely finished. They give the feeling of lifetime tools:thumbup:

@Monte : Your Sora's prices are interesting, but AFAIK they don't sell to private persons:(
Facom have on sale a set of 7 Torx drivers, mixed Torx tamper+regutar torx, for Eur 32,- (Excl. Vat).

ps : Is it a Flex 180 "RedBaer" ?

Thanks for the pics mrtools. Love that Tone ratchet.

I just browsed through the Tone online catalog and noticed that they have a tool line called Fine Tool with similar design to Tone but much more expensive. Are the Fine Tool tools that much better?

And those stainless steel sets looks :drool::drool:

Well I wanted some Wolverine Buckeye boots.. got the "HELL NO!" on that purchase attempt. So I just said I was heading up Sears (Even though I'm "not allowed" to buy tools at the moment :D) and got these pruners... but not for me! For my mom. And then the purchase is OK for some reason :D haha

They're really good. Like seriously! Made in Finland too :) She has arthritis big time so I figured they would help a lot, and they're very easy to use. Sorry for the bad pics ^_^

you could try it and email them. They also handed me a catalog + price list.
Wisent (Wiha) would be another option: 5 piece Torx for 19,95 or Wiha w. the yellow/black handles (if you have a Hornbach) 6 pc. for 23,95 (iirc) tax incl.

ps : Is it a Flex 180 "RedBaer" ?
